Saturn Ascend is a 4-piece alternative rock group from Nottingham. They consist of:

Joey Collins // Vocals & Guitars
Charlie Peacock // Guitars
Nick Belfitt // Bass
Liam Naylor // Drums

All four members formed the band in Bilborough College in 2014 just before finishing their A levels. They have been gigging extensively since then whilst constructing their debut album “Reasons To Forget”. The band would describe their sound as a fusion of atmospheric, powerful and emotional that would be suitable for any music lover!

With their debut single out now they are counting down the days until their album is released (20th September). Local record company Rough Trade will be stocking Reasons To Forget in store whilst it will be available on digital formats such as iTunes and Spotify. 

Front man Joe discusses the album as follows: “Our album has been developed over a long period of time. We never put up any serious material online for people to listen to until now, which gave us a chance to enhance and work on the songs until they became the best they possibly can be. I’d say we are certainly a live band as oppose to a studio band, this is why it probably took so long for us to get our songs recorded as we’re all extremely pedantic with the recording process. This is why we got our bassist Nick to mix and record the record, as we could take the time to get a solid sounding record overall. I hope this album does well due to the fact that it’s diverse. Each song has a different story to tell and sound to it, which I hope people can appreciate instead of similar sounding tracks throughout”.
