Ryder Harrison Houston is an American filmmaker, musician, and performer born just outside of Dallas, Texas. At age 19, he released his first film, "Rapture in Blue": a noir-ish ode to the ubiquitous gothic zeitgeist of the late 20th century. Included on the eponymous soundtrack is the haunting theme “Wine (A Sea Of Future)” performed by frequent collaborator Ariana Kelly, and it was this very release that would catalyze the future of Houston’s musical endeavors.

As much as his evocative sound dotes on alternative pop acts Depeche Mode, Garbage, and even Madonna at her most subversive, it also seems to suggest something greater operating on the periphery: a dark, omnipresent melodrama not unlike the crooning music of David Lynch composer Angelo Badalamenti or the lush, do-or-die romance of a young Lana Del Rey. Nevertheless, his eclectic body of work remains adhered to a certain groovy allusion to opium-den electricians the likes of Portishead and Massive Attack, with his spidery vocals weaving clichés of lust and rock ‘n’ roll menace anew.

It is within this blasphemous little slipstream that Ryder Houston’s unique brand of sonic nostalgia exists — a sullen musical seduction echoing back from a liminal moment in time where downtempo music and freeze-dried hip-hop beats managed to infiltrate every hot artist’s discography, mutating genre ties and birthing something wholly itself.

LE FOMO will rattle your guts with our rawness and cradle you with our catchy riffs. We’re gender expansive, genre expansive, multi-instrumentalists Ess Nelson (vocals, lyrics, synths, bass, beats, arrangement) and Kai Hofius (guitar, drums, lyrics, bass).

On a sweaty quest through a sunny afternoon electro dance party to a synthwave post-punk saturated basement to belting in your car to release your pent up anger about your last breakup, Swallow Me Whole blazes into 2020 with a maelstrom of fiery vocals, swooning lyrics, driving bass lines, catchy guitar riffs, shimmering synth, and beats that will animate your sweet, sweet cheeks and may just crack open a tiny door to your pulsating heart.

Swallow Me Whole calls on us to become our fullest, most expansive selves and to find authentic human connection in that place, together.

LE FOMO's first full length studio produced album was recorded and mixed by Maryam Qudus at Tiny Telephone and Best House Studios, and mastered by Piper Payne at Infrasonic Studios.

LE FOMO's debut album, Fear of Missing Out/No, was released on Wiener Records and our single, Saganometrics, earned us recognition as The Deli Bay Area Artist of the Month, and is available on Spotify, iTunes, and Bandcamp, as well as select tape shops across Berlin. We have also been featured on Homoground radio podcast.

We live in Oakland, CA, a very special place on the planet that has birthed transformative movements for racial justice and LGBTQ justice, both of which inform our music and the way we move through the world-- keeping our eyes on the prize of dignity, liberation, and healing community.

Sass is back with a revamped distinct and unconventional blend of hip-hop on their newest mixtape, Art Fggt/Fggt Art. The tracks chosen for this new work are as diverse as the artistic legends that have an overall influence on the release; Andy Warhol, James Baldwin, Keith Haring, etc.  Lyrically to date, we find the potent pair expressing their frustration for mainstream and underground cultures without being apologetic. Sgt. Sass means business but with Art Fggt/Fggt Art they continue to deliver their emotions with rhyme, wordplay, and style that everyone can truly relate to.
