Hello! 

So here's my third Synthwave track release of 2023. This track has taken over a year to finish. I felt it had potential from the beginning with the simple but yet interesting arpeggio, paired with the pumping bass. Over the months I found more and more ideas and things to try out and add to it, with the electric guitar being one of the last things added, to get that finishing touch. 

I hope you'll like it!

For nearly two decades Shades of Thunder has been in furtive formulation and is set to become one of the planet’s best loved synthwave acts. The Viennese producer duo serve up a delectable mix of future funk, synth pop and nu-disco in their own immensely palatable take on the ever-evolving genre of synthwave & outrun.
Stalwart synthwave instrumentalist Powernerd and electronic dance producer Edictum first met in Vienna in 2017. Powernerd’s jazz guitar roots and self-invented electronic music gadgetry fused with Edictum’s classical music and techno house beginnings converged over time in that pivotal year when Shades of Thunder was formed.
No stranger to the synth scene, Powernerd has producer credits on titles by synth siren Dana Jean Phoenix and Ultraboss, as well as colabs with Carbon Killer, Neon Nox, LeBrock, VolkorX and journalist Ian Urbina. Edictum on the other hand shared stages with prominent DJ’s like Tocadisco and DJ Hazard, but is also a bona fide scientist after studying chemistry and doctoral defence. Their fruitful and productive bond ensures that songs are carved through inspiration from nature and creative recharge, while manically driven by inquiring minds and endless sonic possibilities through defined analytical scientific research.
Signed to Outland Recordings, one of the world’s leading synthwave music companies, Shades of Thunder’s debut self-titled album due for release in 2021 promises to be a refreshing shot in the arm of any Electronic Music or Stranger Things series fan.
