Shadows of Macley's sound is reminiscent alt rock bands like alt-J, Franz Ferdinand, and St. Lucia. "Take a Step" in particular features a sound very much like that of Glass Animals as it has a unique beat while the light and catchy vocal melody and ambient guitar riff set a solid chill overall rhythm.
