A set lovingly prepared for Earth Frequency Festival 2021 

Back to the scene of the panic attack, another year older, bolder, wiser and yet still aware I’m barely scratching the surface of what’s possible in this space

Wholeheartedly welcomed the change of season and loved the winter fashunnnn expressions roving around like free range art on display to the world

What an honour and privilege it is to be able to gather, to dance, to play, to smile, to bypass small talk entirely and get straight to the good stuff! The banter flows effortlessly into philosophy pausing only for puns or taking off on tangents led by curiosity or passion 

We have evolved to be playful by nature, that is exactly how we learn best from childhood as we develop our cognition, motor skills and sense of the world around us but all the way into adulthood it’s how we bond with other humans, unwind and manage stress

To receive the benefits of play we need to be in a relaxed state and there is nothing I find more soul nourishing than being out amongst nature surrounded by hundreds or even thousands of others who heard the same calling

The evolution continues...as does the rain!

Opening night at Wonky Town was a vibe and a half, the space was a wonderland begging everyone to come play full to the brim with games, interactive installations, a cosy lamp lit lounge and all sorts of other shenanigans 

It was an honour and a privilege to play on a purpose built stage compliments of the festival and Fulcrum Designs in lieu of Sheila no longer being with us - May she forever rest in bass...

Also worth noting for full transparency and celebration of my musical journey that it was my first time performing live directly on the decks sans laptop and controller which was a whole new world in terms of convenience but all wrapped up in the kinda nerves I thought were behind me

Looking forward to continuing the learning process, experimenting with the weaving and manipulating of sound drawing inspiration from those in the know around me and as always with the highest level of gratitude and respect for the original creators

The Greater Groovecast 003, featuring yours truly, @mochileromusic.

This mix is dedicated to the ancient old growth giants that give life to us all in a plethora of ways. It was recorded live at a Greater Groove ecstatic dance fundraiser for Last Stand West Kootenay, an organizing based out of the Kootenays that advocates for the protection of all old growth forests, the sustainable transition of the forestry industry toward value adding, community-led, small scale, selective and second-growth logging. As we continue moving forward on this path of self-destruction via unlimited consumption and extraction, the signs will become more and more clear. Floods, fires, landslides, heat waves, erratic weather, and hurricanes will continue to increase in frequency and intensity. The mass extinction will continue to accelerate, and industry will continue to place blame on various species as it attempts to divert attention away from the real culprit, humans. When will we begin to recognize the oneness that connects us all in this beautiful web of life, and act on it? I thank those who stand on the front lines, who sacrifice everything for the trees, animals, mosses, us. The Kootenay Yoga Festival was held on the unceded, traditional and ancestral territory of the Sinixt people in September, 2022. It was a beautiful gathering that brought together a diversity of local talent and skill for 2 days of learning and growing. It was an honour to be part of the festival and contribute in various ways. I played two sets over the weekend. One was an ecstatic dance and the other was an impromptu yoga class with my dear friend Shideh. This is the recording of the yoga set, which ended up being one of my favourite sets I played all summer. I rarely get to play all the slow and sultry music I love, let alone get to play it out as their makers intended. I loved playing Shideh's yoga class because of the laughter, playfulness, and non-judgment that she consistently invites into whatever space she holds. I also knew that she would be into the music I would play for her, so that made this experience that much more special. Thank you Shideh for inviting me to play for your class. <3

Yoga Set With Shi Shi // Kootenay Yoga Fest 2022

With change in the air and much anticipated wellness on the way it seemed like the right time to create a memento of this recent chapter of life... 

The music woven together in this homebrew is quite sentimental, the exact medicine I never knew I needed until it landed in my body at the right time and interestingly the right pace with most being a similar tempo and tone. 

Each of the tracks were recognised from within as a remedy long before I came to understand their meaning or relevance let alone marinade in their melodies. 

It is only now when I listen back that I come to appreciate the inner intelligence at work here and in turn start to rebuild some trust in my body and it’s ability to heal.
