Delaware Indie Pop sensation @jennyflorinicia & Philly mystic @shadymonk join creative forces to bless Monastery Rec. in collaboration with visual art label 'Oh Yeah Cool' (https://www.ohyeah.cool/art/music) on this sweet and uplifting chilled out single, 'affirmation'. 

As it's namesake suggests, affirmation (written/sung by Jenny and composed/produced by Shady) is a song (or better yet an anthem) about celebrating ones self in the most positive and healthy ways. With mastering from @telyscopes and gorgeous evocative cover art painted by Elise Stewart, we're extremely proud to add this wonderful meeting of the minds to our catalog here at Monastery Rec., and we can't wait to hear what these two cook up next!~

Starlight Overdrive was made as a tribute to the Rainbow Road era of @nanobii since I loved those songs ever since I was a kid, and was happy enough to finish it during @artbyform's All Nighter 10 event, so I hope you enjoy it!!

For the most part, heavy dubstep songs don't usually have much of a theme. They usually go like "here's just me messing with a synth" or "here's a song about my interests or media franchise im into right now."

So when I initially made this song, it wasn't much different. I needed something for Round 3 of Dub Duels, so I made a whatever song about me being able to write for strings. For the purpose, it was enough (I lost the round lmao), but I felt like it needed a complete makeover. 
At that time, I was feeling "somewhat" sad and angry about some issues I was having with a person, so I thought it would be cathartic to write around these feelings. Somewhat, because I'm usually too stable emotionally, so I didn't feel that strongly about it 😭. Instead, I thought, what if I imagined I was actually really sad and angry, and tried to channel these feelings? And that's how it ended up. It was a very fun exercise in humanity, and I hope you guys like it!

Track made in 24 hours for the All Nighter Vol. 10 event. Alas, I didn't make the cut this time, but this is one of my best solo works in a looooooooong time. Hope you enjoy it!
