Damn, love a good intimate session down by the back of Buk - shame I missed this. I remember being back there in 2024 in the relentless rain and somebody was giving such a good vibe for the 20-30 brave souls out there in raingear. Not surprised you dreamed about playing there :) 2026?

Que tripzotote.  Estas muy cabrón.  Uno  Wow. varios tan bien armados.

Freiland for me it's more than just a festival. It's music, passion, friendship, effort, emotions and family. Being a part of the line-up was an honor and this dusty Sunday afternoon will stay in my mind for a long time.

Bonjour Ben | Seebühne, Freiland Festival 2023

My ninth time as a guest, my second time as an artist, my first time on the "Seebühne"... 

Like many others before me, I would like to thank you for this special edition of the Fusion Festival. Even though my performance was mainly characterized by thunderstorms and rain, afterwards I was just happy how largely peaceful and respectful it was on site. With all the criticism and political ambiguity in the world, I was very worried that in the days during the festival it would not be art but conflicts that would be in the foreground - fortunately that wasn't the case. I was able to enjoy many great DJ/ Live sets as well as interesting panel discussions. 

Thanks to everyone who was there despite the difficult weather conditions. But also a thank you to those who sent feedback and listened to the set now. It inspires me so much to believe in my own sound and not chase trends

Garbicz Festival. Sunday morning at the Buk Corner Cocktail Bar from 10 am to 1pm.. the last 3 hours of 24 hours of music in good company with the Giegling community. This stage is my favorite at the festival, the only covered dance floor and a very intimate spot by the lake. Last year I was hanging here at exactly this time during the festival with a friend in the rain and dreamed about returning here at this moment in the festival to play some records... and there we were. 

Deeply grateful for the opportunity to realize it. Thanks to Lina, Andrei, Fritz, and the whole crew. Particular thanks to Dragana, Bea, Konsti and Gilles  for the support.

I brought two record bags, one for the rain and one for the sun... it ended up being a moody wander through bits of both them as the sun teased us through the trees and the morning fog burned off. 

The energy at the festival all the way through was exceptional this year. Everyone delivered. I haven't been on a dance floor like the one at the end of Sonja and Dyed's b2b to close monday eve in quite some time.

Album cover is a collage of sketches from this morning courtesy of my dear former brother-in-law Alexander White. Thanks for being there with Iman and for your always unique perspective.

A final hat tip to Sasha, Olga, Andrew and the banya crew. To many more steams together. Thanks for sharing your beautiful energy with the festival.

Early Morning Hours at Kater Blau | 2025

I uploaded the first 90 minutes minutes of my six-hour set at Giselle Düsseldorf. It was the first gig after my collarbone surgery and was unsure how djing would feel. But the doubts were unfounded and I am grateful to had this great start after my break. 

I started with some Dub Track and tried to build up the vibe gently.

For the next Far Blue concept we present Morsal, a Zürich-based artist we’ve been connected with for a long time.

For this new project, he created a one-and-a-half-hour live set built entirely from original, unreleased music, marking his very first output and the beginning of this new project. This special liveset is a blend of deep, driving rhythms and spacious, floating elements, balancing intensity with atmosphere.

A Far Blue concept by Morsal (live) - 'First Light'

Justin Shaffer is a vinyl DJ and multidisciplinary artist. 

He plays elegant, groove-driven, dance music that inspires movement and is a lover of the dance floor and all it represents. 

Born and raised in New York City, he now calls Berlin home. Prior chapters in Seattle and Bretagne, and a thread that still runs through San Francisco. 

His influences include the bittersweet tail of the pre-Giuliani NYC club scene, the Detroit/Berlin axis, and the relationship between contemporary classical and electronic music. 

He is also a sailor, photographer, and audio engineer.
