Though the phrase is well known and at times considered cliché, Cheek The Profit takes the message preached by his father to heart and implores it throughout his life and music. The New Jersey native blends his personal experiences and hustler mentality to give listeners an edgy guide on succeeding in their respective journeys. He has overcome depression, family incarceration, and financial struggles to become a college graduate, entrepreneur, and specifically, a lyricist. After aligning with hip hop record label Renaissance Music Records in 2018, “The Profit” has released the singles Rebel La Familia and Rebel Matrimony, the first garnering over 10,000 organic streams on Spotify. Now, “The Profit” looks to earn his stripes with first full length project on the label, The Profit Strikes Back.

Since joining Renaissance Music, Cheek has focused on creating hard hitting music that empowers. His raw energy and emotion are the foundation of his sound, and it is supplemented by the real life topics he covers. Cheek rhymes about achievement, entrepreneurship, and growth while emphasizing the importance of identity and heritage.  Whether it's a party track or a song designed to unify, Cheek The Profit gives you everything he's got, while remembering “to thine own self be true.”
