This episode is recorded by Artur, a Minsk-based artist who weaves absolutely captivating and magical world-downtempo journeys as MELAMANOS. Artur is a dedicated chillrave promoter, committed to slow dancing and meditative trances. He has been addicted to downtempo, ethnic, midtempo, organic, ketapop, tribal, folktronica, and chillrave since 2018. Since then, he has organized numerous slow-rave parties in Minsk and played many sets across various venues and cities—including Istanbul, Tbilisi, Milan, Moscow, Ericeira, and Ponta Delgada, to name a few.

In addition, he continues his virtual musical travels across the globe, recording podcasts and mixtapes for various downtempo communities and labels worldwide. We are super happy to welcome MELAMANOS onboard the We Are Eternal Podcast.

When the Green Tiger discovered us four moons ago, we quickly learned he was not an ordi-nary tiger. It was not his color or his size, it was the anger he had for us. First, he attacked our livestock — the sheep, the pigs, the chickens — but not to eat, just to kill. He taunted us with his evil, leaving the dying animals in a row outside our door. Whatever animals he did not kill outright, died within an hour or so from the vile poison of the tiger’s touch. We knew it was just a matter of time before he caught one of us. We kept the children and whatever animals we had left inside. A-Gong, my husband, studied furiously, trying to find out more about this powerful monster who tormented us. Musical Religion is a gentleman you’ve met in a past life. This is his first offering for Shango Records. This track will guide you through enlightenment. Ashed Lion and Hencke are the side guiders to the journey beyond the stars.

After everything had quietly sifted through my head a great peace came over me. Here, where the river gently winds through the girdle of hills, lies a soil so saturated with the past that however far back the mind roams one can never detach it from its human background. Before my eyes shimmered such a golden peace that only a neurotic could dream of turning his head away. So quietly flows the water that one hardly notices its presence. It is always there, quiet and unobtrusive, like a great artery running through the human body. In the wonderful peace that fell over me it seemed as if I had climbed to the top of a high mountain: for a little while I would be able to look around me, to take in the meaning of the landscape. Human beings make a strange fauna and flora. From a distance they appear negligible, close up they are apt to appear ugly and malicious. More than anything they need to be surrounded with sufficient space-space even more than time. The sun is setting. I feel this river flowing through meets past, its ancient soil, the changing climate. The hills gently girdle it about, its course is fixed.  This is the new Shango Records single by DIO S and comes with gentle remixes by the likes of SELDJAN DERVISH, SLOW NOMADEN and BEYHUDE. Let the beauty of this music take over your entire senses.
