"Caught somewhere between a 4am Balearic summer sunrise and a 4pm Nordic autumn sunset Body In The Thames’ Public Domain 3D Terrain is an LP length release that spans 5 tracks of beautifully crafted electronic music for all the orange skied dancefloors in your head. There are no dense narratives, no elaborate concepts, just a set of perfectly formed, artfully shaped and well-proportioned grooves.
Body In The Thames specialises in the kind of bright, complex and expressive electronic music that might as easily channel Tangerine Dream as it does Grace Jones, flitting as he does between the cinematic and the playful. Witness how Alligator Souffle waddles out of the kitchen and onto the sun lounger with a reptilian swagger, while Xanthe Acid Youth prefers to gaze up through the cosmos over nine misty-eyed minutes.

Written and produced in the Stockholm basement studio that he shares with Gustav Ejstes of Dungen, Body In The Thame’s voltaic psychedelia is neat and precise, a musician’s take on a DJ Harvey set. Over the EP’s final two tracks he feeds the baggy shirted Cafe Del Mar crowd his own brand of expansive and precision tooled machine funk. Bus Trips rides a squelchy 303 baseline (sic) overlaid with chiming arpeggios and soaring synth silhouettes. Some People Just Never Know When To Leave weaves a downtempo 808 b-boy jam, melodious chords bouncing like an interstellar low-rider pulling slo-mo doughnuts up and down the milky way.

Of course, you’ll have to enjoy these delights from the comfort of your own home for now. But why should that stop you from booking a ticket on the Nordic-Balearic express, running 5 times a day from Stockholm to Eivissa? "

The yataghan is a type of Ottoman knife or short sabre used from the mid-16th to late 19th centuries. The yataghan was extensively used in Ottoman Turkey and in areas under immediate Ottoman influence, such as the Balkans and the Caucasus. The yataghan consists of a single-edged blade with a marked forward curve and a hilt formed of two grip plaques attached through the tang, the end of the hilt being shaped like large ears. The gap between the grips is covered by a metal strap, which is often decorated. The blade varies from 60 centimetres to 80 centimetres in length and is curved forward (like the Iberian falcata, or Greek kopis), sometimes reclining backwards again towards the very end. This blade form is often referred to as being 'recurved'. While the back of the blade is made of softer steel, the sharp edge is made of hard, tempered steel for durability. Jean Vayat enjoys a countryside drive in the twilight hour. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These three tracks will accept you for what you truly are. Totonac is a Totonacan language cluster of Mexico, spoken across a number of central Mexican states by the Totonac people. It is a Mesoamerican language and shows many of the traits which define the Mesoamerican Linguistic Area. Along with some other indigenous languages, it is recognized as an official language of Mexico, though as a single language. The Totonac people are an indigenous group native to Totonacapan along the Gulf of Mexico. The Totonac people share their territory with the Nahua, Otomí, and Tepehua all of which have communities within the region. Totonacapan is located in east central Mexico between present day Puebla and Veracruz. The people of Totonac have migrated to various cities such as Veracruz, Puebla, and Mexico City. Totonac populations are also found in colonized regions of Uxpanapa in southern Veracruz and the state of Quintana Roo in the eastern part of the Yucatán Peninsula. The Totonac inhabit two different types of environments: cool and rainy mesas of high altitude and warm and humid coastal lowlands. Mcfly (MX) can be found in the shadows of Puebla, Mexico. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks will have you question your existence. Juliano Gomez, Landhouse, Beyhude and Rose Sunset are ordinary people that love shadows.

Dune Whispers of Caladan Seas takes place during the Harkonnen attack on Arrakis during the night of a thousand candles. It depicts a group of Atreides soldiers trapped in a cave in the Shield Wall outside Arrakeen. One of the soldiers, a master story teller, recounts tales of Caladan, the sea-covered ancestral homeworld of House Atreides. A group of Fremen warriors found the soldiers shortly after, and discover that the soldiers have all magically drowned — a fate that has never happened previously on the desert planet of Arrakis. They said that the soldiers drowned in a sea of magical whispers, a myth that remains untold till nowadays strange times. Now is the time for this story to be told and nobody can do it better than us. Bac holds dune in one hands and whispers in the other. This is his first offering for Shango Records. This track can build the end into the beginning and tell you stories about the sea of whispers. Jack Essek, Kosh, Manati and Orkidz are warriors from Arrakeen.
