About a year after Simon Kwe remixed Rolf Saxer's „Dust“ the two artists team up to take it slower with „Ritual“. Afternoon: Analog drums & synths, raw textures of oud-like patterns and polyrhythmic percussion loops pair with a slow but yet driving bassline. The instruments are set in a free-flowing arrangement and generate an undeniable hypnotic quality. Think down tempo shamanism at your favourite daytimer.
Dusk: Matija is one of Zurichs dancefloor veterans, keeping it fresh since years. He adds a „Carpenter meets Pachanga Boys“-quality with a beautiful synth pad and some extra bass-sounds. You can't listen without thinking of the sun starting to set over the best outdoor rave you've ever been to. Night time: König Balthasar's version drags you into the vortex of endless delays and filter sweeps. While one might think Matija celebrates the fading daytime Balthasar provides the crowd with this most peculiar way-past-midnight-thrills. Dawn: Enter Oilst, part of the Irubo family and one half of the Wandervogel-Duo. His remix showcases an irresistible groove and swing with some extra percussion, a 16th note synth-shuffle and intriguing lead sounds. Feel the sun rise with this one?

After everything had quietly sifted through my head a great peace came over me. Here, where the river gently winds through the girdle of hills, lies a soil so saturated with the past that however far back the mind roams one can never detach it from its human background. Before my eyes shimmered such a golden peace that only a neurotic could dream of turning his head away. So quietly flows the water that one hardly notices its presence. It is always there, quiet and unobtrusive, like a great artery running through the human body. In the wonderful peace that fell over me it seemed as if I had climbed to the top of a high mountain: for a little while I would be able to look around me, to take in the meaning of the landscape. Human beings make a strange fauna and flora. From a distance they appear negligible, close up they are apt to appear ugly and malicious. More than anything they need to be surrounded with sufficient space-space even more than time. The sun is setting. I feel this river flowing through meets past, its ancient soil, the changing climate. The hills gently girdle it about, its course is fixed.  This is the new Shango Records single by DIO S and comes with gentle remixes by the likes of SELDJAN DERVISH, SLOW NOMADEN and BEYHUDE. Let the beauty of this music take over your entire senses.

She sat there as usual, but time had changed her. She had grown thin, and her face seemed longer, if only because her cheeks were hollow. The locks of hair that escaped from her scarf were turning gray and made her seem older than she was. The beauty spot on her cheek had grown slightly larger. In addition to their customary look of submission, her eyes now revealed a mournful absent-mindedness. Her anguish over the changes that had befallen her was considerable, although at first she had welcomed them as an expression of her grief. Then she had begun to wonder anxiously if she might not need her health to get through the remainder of her life. Yes. . .and the others needed her to be healthy too, but how could everything be put back the way it was before? And she was older, if not old enough to warrant such a transformation. Still, her age had to make a difference.Night after night she had stood on the balcony observing the street through the wooden grille. What she could see of the street had not altered, but change had crept through her. The voice of the waiter at the coffeehouse echoed through their silent room. She smiled and stole a glance at al-Sayyid Ahmad. The new Shango Records single comes by AHMET ATAKAN and is an amazing story about Philosophy and the meaning of life. That night, at home, as he was prancing round the house pretending to be tripping through cornfields in slow motion and continually exploding with sudden laughter, Akram thought he could even bear to listen to the new Shango Records single he had won. It was eight o'clock and he decided he would make himself, force himself, to listen to all tracks before he phoned her. Maybe he should even leave it till tomorrow. That would be the cool thing to do. Or next week sometime. No. No games. He wanted her and didn't care who knew it. He definitely and absolutely wanted her, adored her, longed for her, wanted to do more things than there were names for with her. He actually caught himself saying thinks like “Yippee" as he prances ridiculously round the house. Her eyes, her hair, her voice, everything … He stopped. He would put on the single. Then he would call her. Would he, perhaps, call her first? No. What he would do was this. He would put on the single. He would listen to it, every last banshee wail of it. Then he would call her. That was the correct order. That was what he would do. So VOOZ BROTHERS it is, and this music can easily make you dream or dance or fall in love with it. SERKAN ELES and TOLGA MAKTAY are adding the cherry on top and this is nothing more than a glorious single to share your dreams with. And yes, he finally called her!
