Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

Moontide - Antigua

Raw and dusty - the feeling of dusty old swamp blues. The title track itself travels back to K2W0’s roots in blues. The fusion of distinct electronic grooves with bluesy harmonies gives the track a fierce and energetic dancefloor vibe that keeps us bouncing and bouncing till the very end.
While the track ’Swamp Blues‘ is an extroverted piece of energy, ’Absence‘ tells an introspective story investigating absent-minded states and the longing for a significant other that is not here. Being absent allows you to escape from stress and negative experiences. You may enjoy the feeling of freedom and independence that comes with being absent and not being tied down to specific obligations or responsibilities, but there is a tipping point where the absence of other(s) and absent mindedness become annoying.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

And the pearl continued to glow. The light was so lovely that it caught the attention of the Queen Mother of the Heavens. When she found out that the brightness came from the dragon’s wondrous pearl, she sent two of her servants to steal it. The servants were able to accomplish this quite easily, as the dragon — weary from his many years of work — slept quite long and soundly. When the Queen Mother received the pearl, even she was astonished by its loveliness. No pearl, no jewel, no treasure in the heavens or on earth could compare. She quickly had a vault made in the deepest part of her kingdom that one could only get to by going through nine locked doors. She put the pearl in the chamber and tied the nine keys to the doors onto her belt.
Commoner got the keys to the doors of the holy kingdom. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can make you thirst for exotic nectars! AmuAmu, Anber and Jack Essek come with the brightness of the clear skies upon the jungle forests.
