So many years, driven by her fears
Like a mouse on a hamster wheel
In circles she ran, always with a plan
Pushing back the doubt she would feel
    Driven- so long- so hard-so fast
    Running from habits enforced by her past
Was action her addiction?Did plans ease her friction
Who signed her up for a life subscription
Driving,  striving -incessant self-lying
Had to be a better way of surviving
    Sometimes fields need to lay fallow
    Thoughts so deep need to be shallow
No matter the reason, no matter the rhyme
She enters a season by her own design
Found all her seeds overtaken by weeds
Though she feels failure- she has to concede…

She let’s go of her old inclination- 
No plans in her head…no destination
  No longer running- she needs to be still
She’s run out of steam, sits with her guilt 
Soothes her inaction- forgives her infraction
Soon over time her she feels satisfaction

A Different perspective of Eve! Not the temptress who ate the apple of knowledge and got them kicked out of Eden. Rather a woman of depth, who understood that in order to grow she had to leave the confines of the 'perfect' life.  She had courage and knew that the apple would bring her to new experiences and a grander perspective of life.
