Written and performed by Ellen Ogden. I recorded a whole CD of her original music in 2013. There were many great tracks but this one, so simple...so moving is among my favourites. I was going to do a 2020 remix and maybe add strings and things but decided against it....Just added a little compression....

It's a real pleasure to let all my worldwide friends know that my so awaited third album A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS has just been released. Hope you like some of songs I've picked out. 

Bio: Born a country boy on a little farm among the mountains in Lagoa Formosa in the western region of Minas Gerais, we may say that Taquinho Noronha actually rose from nothing; as he had, as a child, to face very hard work in the cotton, corn, beans, and rice fields for a living. How he managed to turn from a poor country boy into a teacher of English and musician is a story really worthy telling. Always and forever an apprentice he loves to play his 10-string acoustic guitar, sing, learn and compose new tunes, write and read poetry; he still finds time to embody his character Mãe Maroca, an old lady of the road, and research folkloric themes such as those concerning to "nursery rhymes", revisit, parody, and even intertextualize musical ideas in a conscious, intentional and wise manner.
