What will you leave here when you leave here?

This is October 15th, and hello there, this is Shawn, hereby opening today's voice recording with the song called 'In pieces' from LP's 3rd studio album, 'Minutes to midnight'. The song I sang for the opening is a bit gloomy, but LP starts to have positive sentiments in their album from, actually, this album.

10월 15일, 안녕, 양나무입니다. 오늘 오프닝은 린킨파크 3집 '자정 몇 분 전' 앨범의 '조각'이라는 곡이에요. ﻿이 곡은 좀 감성이 어둡지만, 린킨파크 이 앨범부터 뭔가 긍정적인 에너지를 불어넣기 시작하거든요. 

So the main track 'Leave out all the rest' and the ending 'Shadow of the day' are somewhat half-positive. After singing the main track, I will talk about the Korean-american member of this group who is Joseph Hahn who I really like.

메인 'Leave out all the rest' 그리고 엔딩 'Shadow of the day'는 그래도 예전 곡들에 비하면 반 정도 밝아요. 메인 곡을 부르고, '조셉 한'이라는, 한국인 피가 섞인 LP 멤버에 대해서도 얘기해 볼게요.

Thank you for listening, this song is called 'Leave out all the rest' by LP. I cannot help but think that the pitch of my voice got a little lower by the end of this song. But all in all I am satisfied. I think the message has been delivered in a way that I wanted it to be delivered.

들어 주셔서 곰아워요, LP의 '나머지는 모두 사라져도 좋아'였습니다. 곡 마지막에 가서는 목소리 음정이 좀 낮아진 것 같은데, 그런 대로 만족합니다. 곡의 메세지는 원했던 대로 잘 전달이 된 것 같아요.

This song starts with the question of: what I would be leaving in this world when I actually leave this world. I have always had this question in my mind and- that's why I was really- had a great sympathy while listening to this song.

이 곡은 하나의 질문으로 시작합니다. 이 세상을 떠날 때 내가 남기고 갈 것이 뭘까, 하는 것이에요. 전 항상 이런 물음을 마음에 품고 살았어요. 그래서 이 곡을 들었을 때 공감이 많이 되었죠.

And everything I do is to be remembered by this world. That is why I write songs, I write novels, I write my English diary. So, to be remembered is important to me I think. I just don't want to be someone who did something. I want to be Shawn that did THIS. I hope you remember me. 

제가 하는 모든 일을 통해 이 세상이 저를 기억했으면 해요. 노래를 쓰는, 소설을 쓰고, 일기를 쓰는 이유도 여기에 있죠. 세상이 절 기억한다는 건 제게 중요한 일인가 봐요. 이러저러한 일을 했던 걔가 있었지-는 싫어요. '이 일'을 한 '요 녀석'이 있었다-가 되었으면 하죠. 그대도 절 기억해주었으면 해요.

So earlier I mentioned that there is a Korean member in this group, right? His name is Joseph Hahn. He is Korean-american who is in charge, in the band, of producing and DJing in the live performances. I am really proud that my favorite rockband has a Korean blood in it. And I strongly believe that his Korean atmosphere and Japanese atmosphere from Mike Shinoda who raps and plays guitar in the band played a great role in their success. 

LP에 한국계 멤버가 있다고 했었잖아요? 조셉 한이라는 사람입니다. 한국계 미국인으로 프로듀싱과 DJ를 맡고 있어요. 제가 가장 좋아하는 밴드에 한국인의 피가 흐른다는 게 참 자랑스러워요. 또한 이 분의 얼, 그리고 마이크 시노다라는 랩과 기타를 담당한 다른 멤버의 일본 바이브가 밴드의 성공에 기여했다고 정말로 생각해요.

I am sorry that I could not bring more Korean songs into this voice recording. I promise you that some Korean songs will be ready sooner.
