فعالیت هنری مسیح محقق(شیدی)بیش از نیم قرن پیش آغاز شد.
علاقه شدید وی به آهنگ سازی و اجرا،او را از لید گیتاریست و خواننده گروه راک در دهه 60 میلادی،به سمت گسترش موسیقی خود و سهم منحصر به فرد وی در سبک World/Fusion برد.
تحقیقات و تجارب او برای به وجود آوردن سبکی جدیددر موسیقی تلفیقی وی را بدان داشت تا دست به تجارب و آزمون هایی در زمینه صدا و میکس به منظور ترکیب موسیقی اصیل ایرانی و سازهایی مانند تار،سه تار،کمانچه،سنتور،نی...با موسیقی روز جهانی و سازهایی چون گیتار،کی بوردز،درامز،پرکاشن...انجام دهد.
در نتیجه بهترین های موسیقی اصیل ایرانی و روز جهانی را باهم تلفیق کرد.
الهام گرفتن از شعرای بزرگ ایرانی همچون مولانا،سهراب سپهری،احمد شاملو...موجب شد تا موسیقی وی با همه نسلها و فرهنگ ها ارتباط برقرار کند.
موضوعات جاودانه ای نظیر عشق،خانواده،امید،ایمان...را هدف بیان موسیقایی خود خطاب به جامعه مشترک انسانی ما قرار داد.

Masih Mohaghegh's (Shidi) career as a musician has spanned more than five decades. Composing and performing has been a life time passion, taking him from lead guitarist and singer in a 60's rock band to developing a unique contribution to “world fusion” music.

His search to create a new style of fusion has lead him to experiment with sound- engineering and mix to incorporate Persian classical musi
c and instruments such as tar, setar, kamancheh, santur, nay… with the guitar,keyboards,drums and percussions. The result combines the best of old and new.

Taking inspiration from celebrated Persian poets such as Rumi,Sohrab Sepehri,Ahmad Shamlou…makes his songs speak across generations and cultures. The timeless themes of love, family, hope and faith address our common humanity.
