We are really excited to present ‘Live at RJ’, the new single from Butch and Chriss Vogt.
'The Infamous' and ‘Bliss’ have become two classics in the label’s catalogue, and they are finally back in the studio to produce new material.

With over 20 years consumed by a thirst for electronic music, Butch has released on leading imprints such as Desolat, Cocoon, Rekids, Sei Es Drum and beyond, while maintaining a solid DJ schedule that’s seen him open the minds of crowds at Fabric, Time Warp. Son of the renowned German violinist K.Vogt, C.Vogt started as an academic student of piano and saxophone, but the discovery of the electronic music has given new impetus to his creative personality. Butch saw the potential and raw talent and they started to collaborate on several projects. With a cinematic style that seamlessly blends classical music, the trippier side of techno and deep house, C.Vogt and Butch mixes old and new, fearlessly breaks down barriers and challenges the norms of what contemporary dance music feels and sounds like.

‘Live at RJ’ is another infectious tune from the duo, where elements from modern electronic music and classic leave subtle traces in both melodies and atmospheres, with a breakdown that build in intensity and will drive you to heaven.

A track that will surely lead us to 2019 !

Berlin-based DJ and producer Sebo K, known for distributing a distinctive stream of pristine cuts for over a decade, is next to step through for Cassy’s label Kwench Records. 

Known for being meticulous in his craft, the result is a stellar back catalogue of lauded-releases dispersed among label heavyweights Rekids, Mobilee Records, Ovum, Bass Culture Records, Robsoul Recordings and Tsuba, among more. Launching his DJ career in ‘90s Berlin, his affection for Chicago and New York house quickly bagged him gigs across the city, including a residency at Watergate since 2002, and from there he soon hit the road, making a beeline for far flung haunts across the globe.

“I’ve been around Sebo for years, and had the pleasure of playing for his Scenario parties at Watergate. Love him as a selector, and as a producer, you really just have to look at the calibre of labels he’s released for – that speaks for itself. To have him on Kwench Records was a no brainer and fans of the label will undoubtedly dig this one, big time.” - Cassy

Sebo K reaches for a stack of disco samples inspired by house sounds of the mid ‘90s to craft his Kwench dispatch, and it boots off with ‘New Steps’, a striking house cut, bolstered by a sample of American poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou from her poem Pulse Of Morning. The Dub version of the title track cuts a slick figure, while ‘L.U.V’ sashays into the forefront, leading nodding heads to a sweet spot where disco prevails.
