For his first release on Shika Shika, Yemanjo joins with Mexico-based live duo Cuervo Cuervo and multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer Afrosideral to bring a vibrant and atmospheric three-track EP combining Afrocuban and Andean elements with downtempo beats inspired by nature’s diversity.

“Cabuya” is the new EP that Joaquín brings us from Ecuador, a sonic journey that explores sensitive and enveloping landscapes. Inspired by spiritual jazz and the nuances of ambient jazz, Cornejo weaves a musical universe where each track is a thread that connects deep emotions and atmospheric textures. Through organic rhythms and ethereal harmonies, the artist invites us to immerse ourselves in an introspective and captivating journey.
