Mumbled echoes from the mist, through the tunnels of revival. The graininess interplay with a subdued mellifluence. A haze of longing sighs and reverberations - threshold between the lane, where distant voices yield to light.   

Night Foundation, the electronic solo project of visual/sound artist Richard Vergez and the founder of the label - Noir Age, explores existential soundscapes, utilizing analogue hardware including vintage synthesizers, found percussion, tape effects, and manipulated wind instruments. 'Change Your Mind' holds the resilience and heralds the breath of new horizon.

”This mixtape is inspired by reading and learning on and about pomegranates, a personal fetish of mine and a fruit that has had a special place in many cultures and religions. The tittle is a twist on Sergei Parajanov’s beautiful classic “The color of pomegranates”.

Picture spectral rays of light darting around a huge warehouse space in a way you suspect subatomic particles might - sporadically changing shape, bursting with colour and full of dynamism - could also be said for the music of Yu Miyashita.

Performing as Yaporigami for A NEW WAVE the Berlin-based artist has been something of a revelation since discovering his label The Collection Artaud, a super massive independent back catalogue of radical sound design, and home to Yaporimagi and other Miyashita aliases.

With the artist’s foremost production skills also drifting into sync, video editing and soundtrack work, Yaporigami, albeit @underarram in general, gives rise to a truly innovative and boundary-breaking approach to the creation of sonic and visual art.

“In the back of the throat there is a subterranean river that holds you, humming towards the cave’s end. This end is a liminal mirror reflecting the contours of your voice. The mirror shows how —when brought to certain aquatic depths— unheard of limbs and wondrous branches are prone to sprout from your voice. Blind sibyls, your voice’s branches climb towards the surface, in search of light and warmth. After the great drought, your voice’s limbs persevere. They stand naked, pulsating in the purple that lies underneath grey. Your voice’s limbs erect themselves as monuments to air, kin among the deafening night. The water level is now only tall enough to keep your voice’s core below. Your voice, fed by the swamp, cradled by duckweed, wrapped in horse tail, has become a secret organ. Your voice palpitates and releases twin echoes that undulate, to smoke’s rhythm, in the afterglow. Intricately connected by labyrinth to soil and moon, through the water lilies’ roots, your voice weaves an underweb that flickers like the eye of a flame. Your voice sediments the entwined veils of miracle and prayer.”

Thanks for the download Milan, I think I could keep on working with this track for years, haha - but I sat a last day for finishing it no matter what. I think this could be pretty good with serious work on it - but as said, I has to be finished and not ending in a neverending loop of playing, haha. I would say this is a good foundation for further work.

I'm born and raised way north of the Polar circle, in Finnmark(Norway) where the winter is the major time of year. Mørketid(Dark-season)in my homeplace is two months with absence of the sun, it's rough for those not born into it, and can be though for us who are raised with the long darkness as well. The wheather is unstable during wintertime, heavy storms and cold, cold outside followed by quiet nice days just perfect for skiing. It's also the time a year where people goes for wisit more than the rest of the year, gathering/talking with the sparkling fireplace as the center of beeing. Winter it has its own beauty.
Equipm.: Roland Gaia(Oscillating sound/shimmering sound/female voice(also controlling D70-choir in midi) Roland D70(Rhodes/Choir(in midi from Gaia)) Guitars: Gibson SG Standard and Aria PRO 2 Bass.
I'm quite happy with this one.
