This album is dedicated to the men who make their living off the land - hunting, fishing and trapping to put food on the table. 
For Mountain Men, survival is predicated on using ancient skills perfected over hundreds of years.

If you can picture the very furthest, coldest, darkest part of Norway, that’s where Mind over MIDI resides. If you want to get an idea of what it’s like there, and can do without the frostbite, then this is the perfect solution. Helge Tømmervåg produces sweeping, icy synthscapes, with digital snowflakes since 1995.

Jennifer Doty was born and raised in the beautiful wilds of the Ozarks in southern Missouri. She was taught to value literature, music, the arts and spirituality. Her upbringing encouraged creativity, open mindedness and self-expression.

Always attracted to the outdoors, she draws much inspiration for her poetry from nature, as well as human nature. Her interest in poetry and writing as a form of self-expression began in her early teens, only recently is she beginning to publicly share her work.

Jennifer obtained a B.S. in Child, Adult and Family Services and an M.S. in Health Sciences. She has always had a passion for helping others. She raised 2 children and currently spends time helping with her four grandchildren. She enjoys family, writing, travel, photography, painting and working on improving her guitar skills.

Die Wilde Jagd is the music project of producer and songwriter Sebastian Lee Philipp. Channeling minimalist, tenebrous intensity, Die Wilde Jagd’s music weaves a dense and atmos-pheric web of drama, romance, ecstasy, and melancholy. 
Like his own music, Sebastian’s mix aims to transport listeners to a realm where each track be-comes a chapter in a gripping tale, gradually building anticipation and setting the stage for the emotional rollercoaster that awaits. 
For the 50th Tea-Snuggery Show on Threads Radio, we present a very special treat with Sebastian Lee Philipp, mastermind, and head of "Die Wilde Jagd".
For eight years now, songwriter and producer Sebastian Lee Philipp has been steering his project “Die Wilde Jagd” through the field of tension between contemporary electronic music and avant-pop. Between 2015 and 2020, three studio albums were produced as documents of Philipp's rig-orous musical creativity. Most recently, "Atem", a composition for Roadburn Festival, was re-leased in 2022, documenting yet another, more experimental side of the project.
On the new, eagerly awaited fourth album "ophio", all these multi-faceted worlds are brought together in an impressive way.

The record delves into the haunting history of the former psychiatric hospital in Colorno (Parma – Italy, in use from 1873 to 1978). Titled "Retrograde Amnesia”, it explores the lives of patients who were once confined to the institution, many of whom were forgotten by society. 
The hospital, which is now abandoned, was once home to over a thousand patients, including those who were deemed "dangerous" or "marginalized" by society. Among them were prostitutes, alcoholics, vagabonds, and even small children. The psychiatrists who worked at the institution were free to experiment with new treatments, including practices such as electroshock and frontal lobotomy. While these doctors saw themselves as innovators and experimenters, many of the patients were no longer considered people. One of the devastating consequences of the treatments administered at the hospital was retrograde amnesia, which is the loss of memories of past events. Many patients who underwent these treatments were left with gaps in their memory, unable to recall important moments of their lives, as their identities were fragmented and their shared human experiences obliterated. Forgotten by society and stripped of their own sense of self, they were consigned to the shadows of history. 
"Retrograde Amnesia" is a haunting and emotional record that aims to shed light on the lives of these forgotten patients. Through the use of ambient soundscapes and atmospheric textures, the music captures the sense of isolation and despair that many of the patients must have felt. Enveloped in the echoes of empty corridors and abandoned rooms, one easily feels consumed by the weight of the lives that once occupied these desolate spaces.
