« The partisans » relate l’histoire de ces 25 maquisards français réfugiés dans une grotte, qui entre le 21 et 23 Juillet 1944 tiennent tête à un bataillon ennemi au Pas de l'Aiguille, dans le massif du Vercors. Ce morceau, combinant instruments acoustiques et chœurs folks, culmine dans un final rock épique. Il fait écho à « The partisan » de Leonard Cohen, un hommage aux résistants d’où qu’ils viennent, qui se battent pour sauver leurs terres, leur famille et pour retrouver le chemin de la liberté.

"The partisans" is the story of 25 maquis (french resistance) who took refuge in a cave, between July 21st and 23rd of 1944, stood up to an enemy battalion at the Pas de l'Aiguille, in the Vercors massif. This piece, combining acoustic instruments and folk choirs, culminates in an epic rock finale. It echoes to "The Partisan" by Leonard Cohen, a tribute to partisans wherever they come from, who fight to save their lands, their families and to find the path to freedom.
