The duo hail from Amsterdam, where they have been cultivating a unique sound that balances high energy electronic funk and emotive synth arrangements with bold, beautifully composed melodies and songwriting. The duo recently embarked on a mission to rediscover themselves and what truly drives them, in a process of liberation from self-imposed constraints. Their creative process was reinvigorated with an uninhibited approach and Changed For The Better represents Weval unfiltered, accepting themselves for who they truly are. A lot happened in 1980. Diana Ross wanted the world to know: “I’m coming out”, John Fox released his electronic “Metamatic” and AC/DC their bestseller “Back IN Black”. It was that year when the storm sent the ship with the famous pirate Radio Caroline to the bottom of the ocean, and Andrew Korzyński first saw Roland TR-808. When Kombi’s fame was about to shoot up, John Lennon got shot down by a madman. For many reasons we consider 1980 a special year. 

At a young age, we inherited 90210 vinyl records, and among them, one of the fifteen copies of the first edition of “Music For The Masses”, Depeche Mode.  We were only 8 years old and we owned a chest full of rare vinyl! The world stood open before us, but we chose a career behind the counter and at the age of 10 we started working in the capital, in a record store popular among krautrock fans. At the age of 12, we were discovered by a headhunter from Norway. And so via Oslo, we landed behind the counters of the best music shops in Europe. The wind of change, however, brought us back to Warsaw where we began our work in the Polish Recordings and Polish Radio Archives. During all that time we have assembled chests full of rare vinyl and soon we’ll show you what we have found. 
So….now we are coming out!

W roku 80 działo się niemało. Diana Ross zrobiła swój... coming out, John Foxx wydał swój elektroniczny "Metamatic", a AC/DC bestseller "Back In Black". W tym roku sztorm posłał na dno statek wraz ze słynnym pirackim Radio Caroline na pokładzie, a Andrzej Korzyński po raz pierwszy zobaczył Rolanda TR-808. Gdy Kombi oczekiwało na swój odlot, wariat zastrzelił Johna Lennona. Z wielu powodów to dla nas rok szczególny.

W młodym wieku odziedziczyliśmy kolekcję płytową wujka marynarza-melomana.
W nasze ręce trafiło 90210 czarnych krążków, wśród jedna z piętnastu sztuk pierwszej wersji "Music For The Masses" Depeche Mode. Były też acetaty Chochołów, z pierwszego tłoczenia.

Mieliśmy ledwie 8 lat i kufry pełne rzadkich winyli. Świat stał przed nami otworem, ale my wybraliśmy karierę za kontuarem.
W wieku 10 lat pracowaliśmy w popularnym wśród diggerów krautrocka stołecznym sklepie płytowym.
W wieku 12 lat odkrył nas headhunter z Norwegii.
I tak via Oslo trafiliśmy za ladę najlepszych sklepów Europy. Wiatr zmian przygnał nas jednak z powrotem do Warszawy - zaczęliśmy pracę w Polskich Nagraniach i archiwum Polskiego Radia.
Przez ten czas zebraliśmy kufry pełne rzadkich winyli i już niebawem pokażemy co znaleźliśmy.
Tak więc pora na …coming out.
