Kali (@kalir0t) is a DJ from South America who has been living in Berlin for 2 years. Stylistically, they are moving between Latin Core and Techno - exploring sounds from Schranz to Latin, hard percussion with upfront drums and claps, and a strong groove. Their love for dominant rhythms shows in this mix through a selection of Hard Techno and fast beats.

Kali values Techno because they perceive the music like a time capsule; rhythmical patterns and repetitive sounds induce a state of mind where the rhythm is the force that makes us move. When Kali plays fast music like this, they feel that their heart matches the beat and they can continue forever in that state.

Juego Selvático (Jungle Game) is a sound project that simulates the experience of a game set in the jungle. It begins with a playful and organic soundscape, full of vitality and rhythm, before suddenly twisting into a sonic bad trip: the jungle turns hostile, chaotic, and disorienting, evoking the fragility of perception when pushed into altered states. Eventually, the atmosphere returns to its initial calm, as if the rupture had never occurred.

The piece not only plays with contrasts between harmony and distortion, but also reflects on our current hyper-digital world. In an age where virtual environments often replace direct encounters with nature, Juego Selvático highlights how distant we have grown from our roots, and how easily our mediated experiences can distort the way we perceive what is organic, wild, and real.

in irish mythology there are many stories where the otherworld (kind of afterlife) is reached through portals found in bodies of water, in both irish and jamaican folklore the stars are our ancestors (sooo water portals must lead us to outer-space!!!!!!) Story is arriving at the water (being called by ancestors), walking deeper into the ocean letting waves wash over you, then plunging beneath a wave and being thrown around so much you don't know if you're at the bottom by the sand or the crest of a wave being invited into an intergalactic realm (by none other than June Tyson and Moor Mother).  Water holds so many stories,  so many bodies and grief, pathways to liberation, knowledge, magic and life
