Wallpaper’s peeling off the wall and the ceiling’s on the floor
Look through the window and I see my friend standing right outside
In his black coat studying his mobile waiting for a call

Light starts fading as the sun starts to drop below horizons
Head feels fuzzy as I question why I’m here
The doorbell rings incessantly, oh how I hate that sound
Look through the hole as the face I think I know reappears

So I open the door to the darkness, flick the light-switch down
Suddenly my old friend falls onto the floor
I show him to the armchair sitting in the lounge room, he sits down
And the bright lamp illuminates his shadow right onto the door
