This song started off with the budding euphoric feeling of being in love. But as the words unravelled I realized there was much more I wanted to say. The whole idea of finding someone to be with, of being in love and of being loved is so different for everyone. But we all want it, and we get caught up in the idea of how it should be. Mirror is about being in love with the idea of love, but in pursuit of it, losing sight of who we really are.

"Candour" is Shirsha's debut single release as an artist exploring the multitude of influences that create her sound. Pulling from some jazz, contemporary R&B, and modern trap, Shirsha weaves her pop aesthetic with unconventional chord progressions, and smooth-yet-playful vocals. Candour tells a cheeky story of being on the receiving end of mixed signals from someone, knowing they're up to no good, but still being frustratingly into them.
