A track I re-recorded about 5 months ago. Like a lot of my acoustic songs, I've been sitting on this for a few years. Heartache is a shitty game. Time to let this one see some light. All music, lyrics and production done by me and me alone. I hope you feel it...enjoy.

Jumping Fish Competition

I heard this by Sierra Ferrel and just love it by her. I had no clue it was co-written by Ray Charles. This is a casual version in my friends, Jack Beck, house. We just enjoy getting together and doing sone songs on the fly that we mention, look up and give it a whirl. Jack is on guitar, and a much better picker than I am. He will be glad to tell you! HA! I know the truth when I hear it!  Anyway, we just have a good time playing music and singing. He has a back yard full of chickens, so it seemed fitting to do this song. We wondered about the meaning, if it was about a Mom who blew the coop and the family was a wondering where she went. The pic I took of Jack serenading his chickens, Ha!  Yep, we kinda country. :)
