Slaps Orchestra è un collettivo musicale dedito alla sperimentazione sonora e alla ricerca di nuove forme espressive capaci di unire, in una sintesi aperta e sempre diveniente, le diverse individualità dei componenti del gruppo. Apparecchi elettronici e strumenti tradizionali, voci e computer, musicisti di varia estrazione e diversa formazione, si incontrano sotto l’insegna della estrema libertà esecutiva, adoperando come approccio programmatico e stilistico l’improvvisazione spontanea, fluida, illimitata, convinti che per ridar forza e prestigio alla Musica, intesa come ineguagliabile esperienza vitale, sia necessario anzitutto infettarla, forse distruggerla, sicuramente dimenticarla.

Smudgie is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Her nickname "Smudgie", which her mom gave her, stuck from birth and it brings her luck. Her music is signed to multiple libraries and has been placed on Major League Baseball and TV shows around the world as well as having been played on terrestrial radio. Smudgie's music has also been played across America's sports arenas, reaching millions of fans. She has played live in Nashville, including at the Bluebird Cafe, in London, and in her home town of Toronto, where she won Best of The Open Mic.
