We're back with another Dungeon Beats Sessions and tonight is also the release date of Dungeon Beats - Volume 2, which is available via all digital outlets and streaming platforms. 

On the show, this month's host Hitman is bringing you the promo mix of DNG002. He's also welcoming one of the pioneering founders of dubstep - Loefah and a true legend of the Polish electronic scene - Dtekk. 

Loefah is a producer who was there when dubstep emerged from the primordial bass lake with releases on one of the labels involved in the genre's genesis - DMZ. He started collaborating with the Digital Mystikz on the DMZ nights run in Brixton and was part of Mary Anne Hobbs' Dubstep Warz radio show that contributed to breaking the genre to the mainstream. Known for having a dark and minimal style that used powerful basslines and menacing vocal samples creating a sense of dread. In around 2007, after falling out of love with the genre, he moved on to UK Bass music and founded Swamp 81. Shifting away from the scene's increasing restraints, his label has helped fuel the current reinvigoration of the house sound while his own DJ sets carry with them stunning levels of bass.

Dtekk is a Polish DJ, promoter, collector and cultural activist from Białystok. Since stepping behind the decks of the famed Metro club in 2000, he has become one of the country's most consistent and experienced DJs. His versatility allows him to mix a very broad spectrum of what’s best in techno, electro, experimental, ambient or Italo disco. His commitment brought him to stages throughout Poland and Europe, including Unsound, Audioriver, Berghain, Ohm and Porto’s Gare. He’s a founder of the Up To Date festival held annually in Białystok, as well as the city’s go-to nightclub called FOMO. He has been involved in the Salon Ambientu event series and Technosoul collective and label. Dtekk is also the author of the Pozdro Techno slogan and the father of the custom-built Pozdro Techno Sound System.

Straight out of Japan’s night scene, Takeaki Maruyama aka Goth-Trad is taking over this episode of Bass Music hosted by The Untouchables.

Goth-Trad has been composing dubstep since 2005 and has started a dubstep party series, Back to Hill, launched in Tokyo around the same time which led to his first international releases including a series of 12" EPs and later an album out on seminal UK dubstep label DEEP MEDi MUSIK.

He became a household name internationally and regularly played DJ sets and live acts around the world. In 2014, he launched his own label, Back To Chill and around 2016 he started to turn towards more experimental sounds again, both on his solo releases and with his new band Eartaker before he finally returned to releasing dubstep in 2021.

Leftlow’s ‘Distractions’ is a thought-provoking Mini LP which is the London-based duo's largest body of work to date and sees them welcomed to dBridge's iconic label, Exit Records.

Dedicated to the late Bailey Churchill, these tracks are filled with prophetic sounds alluding to an apocalyptic destiny, evoking deep and complex thoughts about the world around us.



Designed to be experienced in a club setting with a focus on low end and intricate percussion, the fluidity of these tracks and underlying theme throughout make for an equally enjoyable and intimate "headphones on" experience.



From the industrial, dystopian hard-hitter "Piston's" to the dreamy, euphoric "Thoughtful," these tracks shine a light on a slightly different production style that Leftlow has not yet explored in previous releases. While staying true to their recognisable style, the drum-fueled "Green Eyes" and mind and body twisting "Queasy" push boundaries in the unexplored territories of their sound. This is a must-listen collection of tracks that will provoke the senses.

We close out this roster with an audiophile, an explorer of the universe of sound, and an eager researcher of the relationships between music and people. A.Fruit’s music reflects her inner world and emotional interactions with the outer world.

Anna Fruit was born in 1989 in Moscow, which was still USSR at the time. Her passion for music began in childhood at school, she played the guitar and sang her songs to friends. In 2008, while studying sociology at Moscow State University, she discovered Ableton Live, and it changed her life. She started making music and decided to get a second education as a sound engineer to improve her craft. In 2012 Anna graduated from the University and simultaneously completed her certificate in audio engineering. Then, for some years she worked as a sound technician on TV channels, in parallel continuing to produce electronic music. 

A.Fruit found her 160 bpm-focused sound somewhere between her longtime love of DnB, jungle, hip-hop, and especially footwork. Her professional music career began in 2015, fast forward to 2023 and she has built an impressive discography with 8 EPs and a multitude of original tracks and remixes on compilations worldwide. Her music has appeared on labels including YUKU, Cosmic Bridge, Med School, Teklife, Rua Sound, Sequel One Records, Black Marble Collective, and plenty more. On tours, Anna delivers a blend of 160-170 bpm from footwork and jungle to future beats and halftime.
Outside of her music, A.Fruit creates sound effects and music of other genres for PC games (Gremlins, Inc., Spire of Sorcery, Pathfinder) and provides digital mastering in her home studio.

There are many threads that weave through the YUKU catalogue, and everyone's tastes and journeys through the music we release are different. Some people might gravitate towards the more techno-influenced sound, others might enjoy the more bass-focused music, and so on. Some very special listeners hopefully enjoy the full palette of sounds and hear how it all ties together. It's the nature of curating a multi-genre label — that somehow, you have to trust your instincts about how all the pieces connect, and they usually do so in a multitude of ways.

For this journey, or collage of music, I wanted to explore the quieter and more understated side of the label — there are so many ambient, subtle, or non-dancefloor tunes — and to piece some of that music together in a cohesive way. I hope you enjoy listening!

For two decades we have been trying to bring a fresh wind to the otherwise musically forgotten border gate of the three countries of the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. And so, for this occasion of our 20th anniversary, we decided to create the music compilation that will at least partially map the atmosphere of the last 20 years. We have always focused on non-mainstream music and diversity in the genres of Autonomic Drum and Bass & Techno, so even though it is a genre-different and varied compilation, all artists have one thing in common, and that is the SHOTGUN FESTIVAL. The result is a compilation of 2x LP 12" vinyl with 12 songs by 12 artists.
