Crafting a natural sound he reflects the iconic beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Embodying a land-based approach to electronic music this coastal vision is presented though live dub mixes of roaring reeses, echoing percussion and lush, natural pads.

In the last 6 months these sets have been rinsed by Deep Electronics, Hello Strange, Poisonous Music, Circles and Spheres, Groundwerks, The Tea Radio and Music for Interstellar Spacecraft.

Real name Kerstin Saidykhan.
Grown up in a small town in Western Germany, I was a music nerd from my teenage times. I experienced a lot of different electronic types and styles, what shaped my personallity my whole life, beginning from the 8oies with Postpunk, Dark Wave, EBM and then develloped further with Ska, Reggae, Jungle, Drum 'n Bass and Techno. Dancehall and the Jamaician Soundsystem Culture had also a big influence to me, after visiting Jamaica for two times at the end oft he 90ies. Especially the ruff and heavy basslines of Dub and Raggamuffin had a big imprint on me. I stayed close to the German Reggea scene from the middle of the nineties for many years.And then finally moved to Berlin 2001. It was still the time of small and illegal clubs and improvised venues. In that scene, I had the opportunitiy to try myself as a DJ for a certain time.
After many years, I started mixing music again during the covid pandemic time.

Deep Electronics # 376 - Martin Jarl

Kenneth Christiansen is a well-known figure in the dub techno music industry.  He is the owner of Echocord, one of the most relevant dub techno labels, which has recently celebrated 20 years of activity. Since the late 1990s, Kenneth has frequently been spinning at Tresor in Berlin and other popular clubs across Europe.  His career in the genre dates back to his time spent working in record stores in the 1990s.

"On New Year's Eve 2022/2023 the author managed to break his leg and was confined to his apartment for quite a long time. After I put down a few extra pillows on my chair, I began to practice mixing records in a sitting position.
