A classical, or classic muterial intelude... Bach,  Actus Tragicus, His first major work, less altered than normal, as that might actually be tragic. :)

Tragic

"Tragic" was less modified than normal... but at the same a version of Actus Tragicus emerged that was much more extreme. This version had to be made to work around the rather absurd idea of an accelerating acceleration from 6 to 90 bpm!

Fen is back, not quite exactly the same, but then I don't think she was quite exact when she left, so I am not complaining.

I messed my Fender up by putting 9 - 46 strings on her instead of the usual 9 - 42 and as she is a sensual sexy Strat with a floating tremolo this made her untuneable and unplayable. It was quite odd to pick Fen up and for her to sound so awful

Any way, I gently ripped off the evil 9 - 46 strings off her and carefully dressed her in some luscious Fender 3250L 9 -42's.
She responded well, and me with her. Now we are a little bit Dazzled but we can dream together once again.

Been an interesting week. Singing with Steph Casey about love in NYC, days later chasing a Stoned Butterfly with Bergman, mumblin', stumblin'.and rumblin' on guitars and free form spoken word. Huh? Well I couldn't be more satisfied creatively, after having had the opportunity to collaborate with 2 great talents, Bergman and Steph Casey, in the same week. I have a couple more collaborations in mind but will be finishing a couple of new songs later this week, first.  Thanks very much for listening and to those who have been so supportive since I began posting songs on Soundcloud, a very special thanks. It means a great deal.

There have been many incarnations of SICKER MAN throughout the past 20 years. He went from experimental electronica to shoegaze pop to free noise improvisations. But there have always been two constants in his work. One is his quest for new and unique music, no matter the genre. And the second is the electric cello, which is his main tool of his artistic journey for 20 years now. Massive drones are mixed with distorted beats and shoegaze melodies. The Bug meets Arthur Russell meets Peter Brötzmann.
