This mantra connects the finite and Infinite identities. The first "I AM" that emphasizes the "I" is the personal the finite sense of self. The "I AM" that emphasizes slightly the "AM" is the impersonal and transcendent sense of the Self. All real mantras blend this polarity of the Infinite and finite in their internal structure and design. If you only say the first "I AM" the mind will automatically try to answer, "I am what?" The sends the mind on a search through all the categories and roles that hold the finite identities. If you immediately say the second part of the mantra, "I AM" the thought becomes " I AM What I AM" To be what you are is the essence of truth and will lead you to the nature of Reality. The hand and the breath move in rhythm and strengthen your ability to maintain a sense of self as your awareness expands.

During the solar eclipse of 21 June 2020 Siddhartha's Intent hosted a global recitation of the Samantabhadra Aspiration Prayer.
We were fortunate to receive a teaching from Rinpoche, who painted a picture of the mind that, for lack of a better word, "composed" a prayer which has no composer: our naked cognisance, our naked awareness. The Kuntuzangpo prayer is just there; it's being recited and answered all the time. When a beautiful sunrise appears, if the owl doesn't see it because it's blind, too bad! If we can't see these prayers that are being answered, we're like an owl. There's not much we can do, just pray not to be an owl, which is what we do when we recite the prayer.

Manjushri Teaching - In Celebration of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo 200th Birthday, 25 July 2020 - Bir, India

Who is Manjushri? He is said to have been born in Mt Wutai in China and to have founded the city of Kathmandu in Nepal. He appears as an ordinary lay disciple and as a representative of the Buddha. He appears as white, orange, black and even as the child of a turtle. In fact, Manjushri has no colour, no shape, no beginning nor end, but resides within all of us, even in the donkeys and the grass they are eating. If we want to see Manjushri, we only need to call his name.

“文殊師利是誰？據說，他出生於中國的五台山，他也創建了在尼泊爾的加德滿都城。他以白色、橘色或黑色示現，甚至還示現為烏龜之子。事實上，文殊師利無色無形，也無始無終。他居住於我們所有人之內，甚至在驢子以及牠所吃的草之中。如果我們想要見到文殊師利，只要呼喚他的名號即可。”

The Buddha told Shariputra that the best and only way to understand shunyata is through devotion. Talking about it is a waste of time. Rinpoche advises us to do things such as go to a stupa, offer a flower and say, "May I understand this truly non-arising". Offer another flower, "May all sentient beings understand truly non-existing, truly non-arising".
