Here's a new set to bring in the colder months. Over the last couple of years I've been stashing tracks away with a particular feel to them, with the ultimate aim of building a set around this sound. That time has come and this is the outcome! I would describe this mix as a combination of percussive tribal rhythms layered with mechanical and futuristic hooks/synth lines, topped off with big drops, massive basslines, and an overall darker driving progressive edge.

Eskapet is a Melbourne-based house and techno DJ, events organiser and co-founder of the brand/crew, Autosea. Inspired by the styles and sounds of local and international house and techno artists including Sleep D, Folamour, Four Walls and Josh Wink, his versatility allows him to entertain a variety of crowds and environments, spinning everything from melodic house and techno to funky house and disco. Festival appearances at Strawberry Fields, Pitch Music and Arts Festival, Beyond The Valley and Rabbit Hole, along with regular slots at Melbourne clubs including Revolver Upstairs, Boney and Section 8, has seen him quickly develop his craft in the DJ booth. While playing to a diverse selection of punters, Eskapet has been steadfast in ensuring he continually strengthens his love of music through his DJ sets.

Signal Loop has been DJing in and around the Victorian bush doof scene for a number of years now, surrounding dance-floors with a unique blend of high-calorie techno and chunky driving progressive, which results in an auditory experience that builds from start to finish. Signal Loop's personal philosophy on DJing revolves around combining a selection of high quality hand picked tunes, and focusing on crafting smooth transitions so that each track has space to breath and show it's true colors.

While we could say that he has been exposed to a wide range of music through the course of his life, and first started experimenting with the controls on his parents old walnut-veneered record player at a tender young age, we won't. But what we will say is that over the years he has developed a strong understanding of what is needed to engage an audience with a distinctive array of sounds, that develop and evolve from the beginning to the end of his sets, regardless of whether he plays on vinyl or CDJs.
