Stunning concert from the dark music legends – Now available on double vinyl, a CD & DVD set, and a Blu-Ray.

Ulver returned in 2012 with their latest album Childhood's End. Early pioneers of Norwegian black metal, the band have continually evolved throughout their career and now stand as living legends of the dark music industry, blending rock, electronica, symphonic and chamber traditions along with noise and experimental music to create ground-breaking material.

Until recently however the band had remained exclusively within the studio. This changed in May 2009 when the band accepted an invitation to appear at the Norwegian Festival Of Literature. The success of this gig lead to them embarking on a string of other gigs in 2009 and 2010, selling out prestigious venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Volksbühne in Berlin and La Cigale in Paris before they returned to their homeland for this landmark gig at The Norwegian Opera House.

The 2 hour concert married tracks from throughout the band's catalogue to stunning visuals to create a spectacle fitting for such a grand venue.

This track is the first on the new double CD release "Out of the Blue & Into the Amazon" by 'cellist & composer Emily Burridge and as the name of the track implies "Salutation"  is a greeting , a heralding ....and leads intp "Out of the Blue" in which the rhythm has a hypnotic effect and gives the sense of travelling along in a vehicle and in this case the vehicle for the journey is the music..

A breathtaking cinematic experience from Alejandro G. Iñárritu, The Revenant is the story about a frontiersman named Hugh Glass, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and his quest of revenge when he is abandoned after being unexpectedly mauled by a bear & his son is murdered by the hands of one of his crew, John Fitzgerald (played by Tom Hardy).

This piece is inspired by one of the soundtracks from the film made by several artists. (Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, German electronic musician Alva Noto, and multi-instrumentalist Bryce Dessner)

Mi música no tiene ningún significado especial, pero dando rienda suelta a mi lado romántico podría hacer la reflexión de que la vida es más frágil de lo que parece, pero a la vez se abre paso en cualquier entorno y supera toda adversidad. Esta pieza presentaría esta última parte de la dualidad debilidad/fortaleza.

My music has no special meaning, but indulging my romantic side I could make the reflection that life is more fragile than it appears, but also makes its way into any environment and overcomes all adversity. This piece present the latter part of the duality weakness / strength.

Instruments: EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Silver Edition (for the strings), True Pianos, Massive (guitar´s like sound and electronic flying sound), Rhodes soundfont, drums with StormDrums and EzDrummer, some additional electronic sounds IL Toxic and Poizone.
