From the mist-lined shores of the Jersey Channel Islands emerges Denis J, a DJ whose sound drifts between the ethereal and the untamed. For over three decades, he has shaped dancefloors with a signature blend of organic house, progressive house, and progressive breaks—moving effortlessly from airy, melodic journeys to hard-edged, driving rhythms that ignite the night.

Beginning his path in 1994, Denis J quickly found his place behind the decks, becoming a resident at The Venue in the late ’90s. His craft has since carried him onto lineups alongside acclaimed artists such as Human Movement, Sunday Club, Sasha Le Monier, Stuart King, Michael Hooker, and Andry Nalin—each encounter sharpening his sound while adding to the quiet mythology surrounding his sets.

His productions have found homes on respected imprints including Salt Records, Forensic Records, and Saturo Sounds, further defining his deep, hypnotic aesthetic. Whether guiding listeners through warm organic textures or pulling them into the darker pulse of progressive energy, Denis J approaches each mix as a story—subtle, evolving, and unmistakably his.

For those who follow the shadows of the dancefloor, Denis J is less a name and more a signal—an invitation to step into the unknown and lose yourself in the sound.

Simon is one half of The Back Room with long-time friend Luke Stereo, a 21st-century Balearic acid-disco project connecting sci-fi disco, dub, acid house, balearica, afrobeat, post-punk disco and eastern rhythms. Together they run a venue at Glastonbury Festival and have played Bugged Out, The Egg London, Boomtown, Motion and more.
He is also part of Shimmy Discotheque, the Shindig Festival offshoot offering a house- and disco-led soundtrack. The team delivered the Saturday night set at this year’s Shindig Festival and Lake Paradiso.
A resident for Empathy, one of Bristol’s longest-running club nights, Simon has played with Nick Warren, Sasha & Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Danny Howells, Jody Wisternoff, and Bushwacka. He also appears nationwide with Balearic Burger’s eclectic parties.
