Techno Playlist 2023

"Vividity" is the first release by British producer and artist Harri Hocking, under my new solo project "lilac frog", originally released on 14th January 2022.

This new chapter sees "Vividity" being a perfect single for starting this new journey - it's an upbeat, beat-driven, but also dreamy and cinematic-electronic styled song. It encompasses elements from all kinds of genres, ranging from pop, cinematic, liquid drum-and-bass, downtempo, house, and perhaps even garage to some extent.

It's called "Vividity" as the song feels very rich and vivid to me - it's dreamy but at the same is bright and colorful - the inspiration for the sound came from me trying to make a song that was an honest reflection of myself and what I wanted to offer as "lilac frog", which was intentionally a challenge as the track is instrumental. But it's become one of my favourite pieces I've ever produced, and hopefully you like it too!
