Give this battery charging live recording a proper listen and I am confident your day/night ahead will be inspired with optimism.  Performed live Neoblue DJ set in Northern California at the Northern Exposure (April 2023) collaborative event presented by Shasta Vibes in collaboration with our crew of badass deck ninjas....1200 Hustle NorCal.  This breakbeat session is a fun breakdancin' "pop n' lock" fusion of modern funky soulful breaks blended  with a healthy serving of oldschool 808 drum kit percussion syncopations that inspire feelings of nostalgia from the breakbeat boots born in the Detroit and New York underground breakbeat warehouse parties of the 80's and early 90's.  I hope you all enjoy this smile n' wiggle breaks as I do.  Cheers and thank you to all my supporters new and old.

Sending today's Interbay track to you here on SoundCloud from the Phantom Laboratories West mobile unit, currently in Portland, Oregon.  Always get inspired by the craziest things whenever I'm in Portland (PLW is keepin' it weird!)--for example, the last time I was down here (relative to our home base of Seattle...I started a new project that I gave the name of "Golden Grahams"...that one is still being worked on in the Labs...and I have no idea where that track will end up, or if it will have anything to do with one of my comfort breakfast cereals.)  

Today's track, "Fragmented World" is one part symphonic soundtrack, one part old school drum machines, and one more part European economics forum.  (So, absolutely...keeping it weird.)  The end result is one of the better sounding Interbay tracks--I think I got the balance of all of these seemingly unrelated elements just right to sound perfectly...Interbay.  

I don't imagine that you'll get much useable financial advice from this track, the speakers have been chopped up (wait--that sounds like a slasher movie...they're all, as far as I know, all alive and in one piece) and mixed up for maximum amusement (and probable bafflement.)

Once again, it feels like what Interbay is proving is that dance music can be constructed out of anything...and if it CAN be done, then you can count on Interbay to give it a try.  

As always, I encourage you to give "Fragmented World" a listen--again, I think this is rather good (though I may be showing some bias in saying that.)  I hope you like it and give it a like.

So for those of you that missed it, this set was recorded live on the Mercury Thames Cruiser at the Elite Force Boat Party in conjunction with Supatronix back in July 2010. The party was a huge, drunken success with a glorious sun-kissed evening on the Thames, a capacity boat and a FAT & thoroughly full-bodied soundtrack.

The set is a warts & all live recording (on two CDJ-800s ...ugh.... and a DJM-600 ...eek...) with idents added later, and also an additional TWO tracks added post-party to the end of the mix so it actually finishes as it was always intended to (the ship's captain cut us off 10 minutes early on the night).

It's the first live set I've put out as a Strongarm Sessions since back in the day, and the first official 'Sessions' of 2010.
