Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland had many a hit back in the day. Heading the very start of the breaks scene back in the late 1990's and playing the very most underground acts of that time Adam promoted the very early breaks music through DJing and the Breakbeat Show at Kiss FM as well as starting his own record label Marine Parade records. Never one to shy away from making white label bootleg records back then he went under various aliases, but you could always tell it was him from his particular style of music production.

This mix was recorded live back in 2004 at Roxy, Prague and contains basically all of his greatest hits, enjoy this 2hr 30min set.

A peak-time one-hour set recorded live at the Burning Man Denver Decompression event (2025), performed as Elite Force aka Simon Shackleton.

This mix has a raw intensity to it – genre-crossing with driving basslines, twisted grooves, and cinematic edges – designed for full throttle lift-off. 

It was such a fun night to be a part of. I've been part of the extended Burning Man community for over 15 years now and it's always an honour to share what I do with so many beautiful, creative souls.

This was the final One Series show in a 5-year run of events that began at Cellspace in San Francisco back in 2012. 

These sets gave me a much-needed chance to breathe and to branch out from the peaktime headline shows I'd been playing for many years. They allowed me time to spread my wings musically and explore different tempos and different flavours and tell a story from cover to cover. They inspired me and kept me going at a time when I was deeply disillusioned by electronic music's move into the bubblegum candy-pop of the supersized McRave. 

I believe that music has the power to affect people deeply and that it can be felt on a spiritual level, and during these sets I always felt that connection profoundly. I'm proud of what I achieved with them and that a beautiful legacy remains.

This particular set had to be reconstructed from 2/3rds of the way through as the recorder malfunctioned, but I didn't want to leave the Final One unarchived, so here it is in all of it's 6-hours of glory.

Meat Katie aka Mark Pember is an electronic musician who was one of the pioneering artists in the Tech Funk genre a combination of Techno, Tribal, Breakbeat & House music. This mix from 2004 is a highlight of his sound and the very beginnings of the Tech Funk genre. Meat Katie is still active today in the music scene, in June 2013 Mark started a Podcast series ‘Lowering The Tone’ which in 2016 morphed into a Progressive Techno Label. He now records exclusively for Lowering The Tone and is currently working on his fourth artist album, he still hosts Lowering The Tone podcast & also co-hosts ‘Setting The Tone’ (Podcast) with Ben Coda.

In these strange and challenging times, we need friends, family, and community more than ever. For that reason, I've created a series of online gatherings under the 'We Are One' banner as a means of bringing people together from all corners of the globe to laugh, love, and dance (like no one's watching).

These social events put YOU first, with a High Definition audio stream via Mixlr and additional capacity for up to 100 Zoom video attendees. The first event was a huge success and there'll be a second 'We Are One' on the weekend of 25/26th April 2020. Details on the website.

This set was created using Ableton, an APC40 Controller (that I found at the back of a cupboard and had never used before) and a LaunchKey MIDI keyboard, and as such it's as much about on-the-fly live performance as it is about straight-up DJ'ing. Enjoy!
