Stanley Ngoni Gwanzura was born in Lusaka, Zambia on the 16th of November 1970. He did his primary education up to grade 4 at Lusaka Boys School. In 1981 he returned to Zimbabwe, where he finished his primary education at Haig Park Primary. He then proceeded to Ellis Robins High School up where he was educated up to Form 6. It is there where he made a decision to become a follower of Christ. It was at High school that he developed a passion for music and the arts. 1990 saw him working as a trainee manager for a local engineering firm until he decided to take up the call to serve God as a fulltime minister.He graduated with a Bth degree in theology from the theological college of Zimbabwe in 1995 After training as a Pastor at Theological College of Zimbabwe, He then served as a Youth Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church and then as the Pastor of the church until 2002 when he decided to become a fulltime music gospel artist/Producer/Activist.   He is married to Pamela and they have two boys, Nkosi and Jason. He listens to Afroo-Jazz, hip hop, RnB, Afro-pop. His favourate artists are Eric Wainaina,  Benjamin Dube, Bebe Winans,, Fred Hammond, Dietrick Haddon. Jimmy Dludlu and Joyous Celebration.
 
Discography
Pastor G first recorded with a group called TOL(tidings of love).  He recorded three albums with the group before pursuing a solo career.  Below are the albums
TOL (2000) - Which featured the hit ‘Ndiani Achata”.  Was nominated by TSAMA for best newcomer. 

Vhangeri (2001) - which featured the hit Vhangeri that garnered reviews for its video and artistry.

Tamirira (2002) - Featured the hits Ngoma yarira

Tariro (2000) - Featured the songs Tariro and Siyana Nazvo

Freedom Rugare - Reflections of a Street Preacher (2003) - This was the career-defining album, which churned out hits like Tshbilika, Walk Alone, and Count your Blessing.  All these were No. 1 hits on 3fm.

I Worship U-Diary of A Street Preacher (2004) - This became a chart topper with the song Zvichanaka that won rave reviews for the video.  This album earned him his first ZIMA nomination for best gospel artist

My Home-Psalms of a Street Preacher (2005) - This album spurned the song My home, which became a hit with many.   This is album was received as a mature offering by the media earning a five star rating Herald and the Sunday Mail.  This saw Pastor G being nominated for ZIMA for Best gospel artist

Inspiration(2008/9)-is truly an inspirational masterpiece.  14 power-packed tracks comprise this project.  Many have said this is the opus project for Pastor G.  From the Pop top 40 inffluenced title track to the Afro-pop driven Ndamirira there is nothing but simply flowing musical genius in between you find find the Jazz tinged Mandipa, the RnB Betta man and Mubayiro as well as the pasada driven Jesu chete.  Eastern African Haya Haya was a hit on PowerFM.  Track 3 Mwari Vakanaka was the number one international gospel song on Hope FM,Kenya.


INDESTRUCTABLE 2012 – MARCH/APRIL 2012 This album featured the hits indestructible Munogona , Tose  and Mabiribobi which did very well on the charts.

Unstoppable 2014 – July 2014  This album feature the hit single The Remedy and the album has received good reviews in the media

LEGACY 1610 - SEPT 2015 - This the tenth cd from Pastor celebrating 16 years of music ministry.

Mhoroyi(2008) Live dvd – This is culmination of months of hard work and prayer.  A live dvd capturing Pastor G live in performance at 7Arts Harare.   This body of work still combines the multi-genre character of PG.  It has fifteen powerful tracks taken several of Pastor Gs cds put to life by an 18-piece band.
