Tripedal Crow Records' prolific 2021 release schedule in full effect! The second instalment of the 'Rootplate' catalogue series welcomes two talented additions to the label discography alongside the label head himself: Dub and Dubstep producer champion Bukkha and lauded vocalist Baptiste, best known from the Moonshine Recordings sphere.

This triumvirate of thoroughly skilled artists meets on a limited 10" vinyl lathe cut edition (60 pcs.) courtesy of Pressure Mastering, hand-stamped by JahYu – and will also be available in the digital format. Conscious music for troubling times, ready to uplift spirits and induce the kind of healing low-frequency meditation we've all come to know and love. Authentic Reggae & Dub influences meet at the forefront of the 21st century, sure to be felt as much as heard.

Following up on recent collaborations with the likes of veteran Radikal Guru, Baptiste now teams up to provide words, sound and power alongside JahYu's mighty instrumental in 'Great Confusion' - an ode to the tough times we're seeing unfold before our very eyes. Classic instrumentation embedded on layers of delays, spring reverbs and authentically bubbling skanks - more love, more unity! Fuelled by Eastern sound inclinations and powerful lyrical wisdom, the ensuing sound presents itself as a future classic by any standard - yearning to roar on a full-stack sound system near you.

Meeting Bukkha's instrumental stepper on the B-Side, 'Tidal' doesn't mess around in the slightest as it's super-charged attitude leaves neither stone nor amplifier headroom unturned. Militant skanks meet murderous bassline excursions in a potent combination, everything to love about the artist's signature style.

Two perfectly matched cuts, ready and primed for the dance: A testament to the artists as well as Tripedal Crow Records, make sure to secure yourself a copy sooner rather than later as this 2nd instalment of the 'ROOT' lathe-cut series is sure to fly off the shelves.

Over a year since the foundation-laying 'This Is How We Roll', a cluster of the Keysound family members return with a 14 track compilation of exclusive new tracks. It will be the 50th release on the label.

The CD is shaped in an arc designed to reflect both the breadth and the flow of the music being made within the camp. Beginning with Logos’ beatless exercise in tension 'Metropolis' it moves through dark percussive 130 bpm rollage from Parris, Dusk + Blackdown, Aphix, Caski and Etch. Grimey influences begin to emerge via Wen and the Sully remix of Balistiq Beats ft Riko, before an explosion of synths and colour from Murlo, DLVRY and E.m.m.a. engulf the scene. Finally the compilation curves back down into a more abstract plane with Facta, Epoch and emerging lyricist/producer Luke Benjamin.

The title for the compilation was crowd-sourced from the producers themselves, kicking around different suggestions until something was borrowed from a cluster of LHF-inspired blog posts Blackdown had written. The title was “something representative of the things that link us but also separate us” went the reasoning.

This spirit of how 'Certified Connections' was selected seemingly reflects the strength of solidarity and the unity of purpose around these artists right now: working within a darker (but sometimes colourful), rolling (but sometimes arresting) and bassier (but not without subtleties) space. "Keysound is home for me, and listening through the compilation the doors are wide open to welcome edgy new talent to the family," said Wen.

As well as contributing a track to 'Certified Connections', certain editions of the release will come with a special mixed version by one of the most exciting DJs from the camp and sometime Wen-collaborator, Parris, deploying his trademark blends and precision cuts. The release follows hot on the heels of Dusk + Blackdown’s recent vinyl doublepack of 130 based cuts 'Back 2 Go FWD>>', LV & Josh Idehen’s 'Islands' album and Moleskin’s 'Satis House' EP.

“Certified Connections” is released on the 24th of November.
