"Tik&Borrow have been good friends of Simply Deep for some time now, we’ve always rated their productions as a duo and the quality output from their label In:flux Audio. You can imagine our excitement when we finalized the debut release from Tik&Borrow on Simply Deep.

The ‘Torn’ EP is another strictly 140BPM output from the label but do not let this fool you into painting the whole EP with the same brush, each track has its own distinct characteristics which gives them all a unique shine. From the title track ‘Torn’ with a growling Reese Bass coupled with melancholy atmospherics and melodies – to the reflective Guitar plucks and Deep Basslines within ‘Guitar Dub’ – to the final original production titled ‘Bogus’ with its percussion-heavy frenzies.

To finish the release we brought in two artists from the Simply Deep and In:flux Audio rosters on remix duties. Imanzi takes a more rhythmical approach to ‘Guitar Dub’ with snappy breaks and a keen Jungle influence. Fork and Knife chews up ‘Bogus’ and spits it back out with a heavy rearrangement worthy of the Gun-Finger treatment.

Torn will see a digital release on 05/03/21 exclusive to Junodownload for two weeks and can be streamed on Spotify the same day."
