"Spotify Killed the Video Star" is a playful update to the 80s classic 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles, the first music video to ever play on MTV back in 1981. 

This throwback track keeps the iconic synth-pop energy, catchy hooks, and group harmonies of the original — then reimagines them for today’s music world, where streaming dominates, and glittery big-budget music videos are slowly becoming obsolete.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
