After more than one year promoting some of the most beloved parties in São Paulo, Gop Tun break well with their first physical release: Spin Me by Schoolbell. The smash of the eponimus track, already an underground sensation, being highlighted by Dimitri From Paris and blogs around the world is the workhorse, but the remixes are the new deal. Worst Friends is the duo of Tom Croose and Ryan Cavanah AKA Slow Hands and their remix is pure balearic bliss. The man of the hour, HNNY extract the inner Arthur Russell from the track and the result is ready for the floor. Kurc is part of the São Paulo crew and his slowburner take, is music to get naked. Apart from the title track, Schoolbell decided to include a brand new jam called "New Club Track", also a smash if you saw one of their shows. Night Plane finish the collection with a trippy/double vision take of the new track... A perfect ending. What's next?

Stepping up for remix duties on the EP closer is 100% Silk and Honey Soundsystem affiliate Octo Octa, bringing her signature, lush house stylings to the title track, ‘Porcelain’.

It’s an epic remix, rolling past the 10-minute mark with confident ease, with a slice of dreamy nostalgia thrown in for good measure alongside a gurgling bassline and slow-building weight.

Premiere: 'Porcelain' (Octo Octa's Eyes Closed But Drag Me On Mix)

The latest @Roam-Recordings is a tribute to Nicole Mason who passed in a tragic accident. Nicole was a major part of the featured artist collaboration @2-block-radius along with Tom Cloutman and Tee Cardaci founded in 1999. 

During the late 90s early 00s San Francisco was a hotbed for dance music. Musicians from around the word moved to the city and serendipitously ended up living within 2 Blocks from each other in the Lower Haight neighborhood. A community of artists and musicians sprouted up. Roam Recordings started there and label boss JP Soul ran a popular after hours spot next to the legendary DJ bar The Top. Tweakin’ Records was on the block and Nicole lived above the store where he kept a recording studio and was always around for deep conversation and a good laugh.

To commemorate his passing Roam Recordings is releasing this EP For Nicole. The original offering by Tom Cloutman is a beautiful deep house tune that captures the essence of the days of yore and the sound of 2 Block Radius. The EP also features three remixes from San Francisco family JP Soul, PillowTalk and Galen. 

All 3 remixes are very different and we loved them all in their own original way. As we could only share one though, we are happy to feature this customary smooth journey from the crooners PillowTalk (@pillow-talk-1). 

This dedication EP For Nicole is a slice of San Francisco that brings together many long standing members of the community.
