Singularity resident and Los Angeles Techno mad man, JNY, joins us for the first ever episode of Tørus Radio, the new mix series from Singularity featuring the freshest heavy techno mixes from the artists that we love.

Welcome back for VOL002 of TØRUS Radio, where each month Singularity Los Angeles features dark, hard, industrial, and experimental Techno artists from around the world. 

This month's featured artist has a mysterious background, coming from the distant outdoor raves of Portugal, where he grew up until he was 19 years old until moving to London, where he spent 6 years honing his craft and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could. Once a part of the electronic group Blare, Miguel has several years of experience as a dance music connoisseur and sound designer and has since expanded to newer fields of music production including collaborations with artists such as Rabbit in the Moon, Gunslinger, as well as starting the Insical project, inspired by his true passions.

A mysterious figure with a diverse artistic background who’s influences include; Daft Punk, Inhalt Der Nacht, Hans Zimmer, Slayer, Depeche Mode, and Prince.

RAUXRAUX creates a truly unique: deep, dark, and driving sound that floats between powerful, hard, fast kicks - and the melodic yet ominous textures of the underground.

The moniker “RAUXRAUX”, a homage to Daft Punk, derives from the French spelling and pronunciation “RoRo”. Having an impressive background in animation and VJing, his combination of the two artforms adds a unique audio/visual experience to every performance.

Hard techno and audio/visual -badass, ØNYX is one of the most influential creative minds in the LA techno scene with her vision reaching far beyond her talent as a DJ. Her unique sound is known for blurring boundaries between hard techno genres in a way that always tells a different story.

TØRUS Radio VOL005 Featuring - ØNYX

This month's featured artist comes to us from right here in Los Angeles. This producer/DJ has a love for the acid side of Techno, which is evident in every performance. With major influences like 999999999, Jacidorex, Charlotte de Witte, Charlie Sparks, Dax J, and I Hate Models -Clawz impressively blends the sounds of harder-edge techno with the rawness of the legendary 303 synth -to create her characteristic Neo Acid sound and style that puts a contemporary twist on the nostalgic rave sounds of the 90’s.

TØRUS Radio Vol009 Featuring - NEKTER

James Sanchez aka Amuck_Indstrl is a Mexican American producer/DJ based in Los Angeles. His unique industrial style ranges from 135-160 bpm, and sometimes incorporates hypnotic and dark harmonic melodic elements. 
AMUCK’s first release, a remix with Chemtrailz of Ayako mori – “Gegen Dungeon” on Physical Techno Records, was played by Charlotte De Witte on her livestream celebrating her No. 1 spot for the second year in a row for DJ Mag 100 on October 27, 2021.
AMUCK has several releases on Physical Techno Records, a joint 4 track EP with Kill Your Idols and now his latest release is on M:31 Recordings, a remix called “The Attitude Is The Sound”.  He also has an EP with M:31 entitled “No Raves Allowed” with remixes by Kill Your Idols, PATHWAY PAT, and PANICK, released earlier in July.

This month’s featured artist is a Southern California native with a creative influence that reaches beyond the world of Techno. Having VJ’ed for some of the biggest raves in the US, you may have noticed her signature eerie and trippy visuals at Compound, or if you were able to catch the Save our Stages fundraiser organized by Interference Radio that we had the opportunity to be a part of earlier in 2021. With influences like David Lynch, Tim Burton, Depache Mode, and Charlotte De Witte, SOUR’s dynamic and interesting sound stays true to her “creepy girl” aesthetic.
