Loot Recordings kick off 2019 with a fantastic EP from new and enigmatic artist Silence Path, featuring remixes from Powel, Quatri and Yoni Yarchi.

The title track "In Perfect Harmony", from which the name of the EP is derived, is taken from the original track "PAZUL VIII", published on Soundcloud for Piano Day Playlist 2018 by Nils Frahm on 29.03.2018, © Pazul 2018 All Rights Reserved". Silence Path's interpretation of PAZUL VIII, resumes in a subtle and hypnotic track, with an evolving soundscape of the beach, echoing percussion, tinkling pianos and lush pads.

Silence Path is a new moniker from an artist who says this alias “came to life because of the desire to express the music in another way and to convey it to another level with a much more spiritual story than before.”
He is someone who captures a harmonious universe of experimental
sounds that are overflowing with emotion and spiritual feelings from start to finish.

The title track is the superb ‘In Perfect Harmony’, a subtle and hypnotic affair, with an evolving soundscape that recalls the beach, with echoing percussion, tinkling pianos and lush pads. The creative genius of Powel returns to Loot once again to deliver a remix that highlights the original melodies, twisting things up with heavenly string arrangements and soothing bass. 
The next fantastic original is ‘Nebula’ and it focuses on a memorable melody that’s blended with the gentle sounds of nature, ethereal voices and rising strings to create a musical story.
The first of the two ‘Nebula’ remixes comes from Quatri who hails from Damascus but is based in Paris and fuses organic and lighthearted sounds with heavy modular rhythms. With his version he turns up the excitement with a cosmic feel, cleverly distorting the melodic hook with
smart effects and swelling, ecstatic synths.
Next up is Yoni Yarchi’s remix. He is based in Tel Aviv and brings plenty of magical musicality to his productions on labels like this one as well
as Definitive and Nie Wieder Schlafen. 
Here he serves up a magical journey of emotional frequencies and euphoric pads where the original elements shine.

The closing track is the excellent ‘Illusion,’ which combines playful melodies and warm basslines to create a breezy, summer-like vibe.
This EP is a masterfully modern statement of dance music that very much comes from the heart.

With their single „You’re A Runner“, Berlin dream pop duo Me And My Drummer have caused quite a stir (BBC, XFM, amazingradio, Spinner, 405 to name a few).  The follow-up single „Don’t Be So Hot“ keeps the promise given, along with the international release of their high anticipated debut album „The Hawk, The Beak, The Prey“. Now, with these stunning remixes by Tale Of Us and The/Das the band even goes ahead and two shimmering musical worlds combine to explore new territories.
 
Further, this marks the beginning of a new promising collaboration. Tale Of Us, one of the most magnificent acts in electronic music these days on one side, the spearhead of italy’s finest Life And Death – label of the month at Resident Advisor. And The/Das on the other side: 2/3 of Bodi Bill, Berlin’s electronic-folk-live heroes from germany’s upcoming tastemaker indie label Sinnbus. A strong handshake between indie pop and dance electronica.
 
Bodi Bill have been around since 2007 and have been constantly developing their unique sound, combining folk and electronic music to the most natural sounding thing. Known for their passionate, multi-sensual live shows, they have been across half the world in the meantime. Tale Of Us, praised for their incredible remixes done for Thugfucker or Who Made Who have met the guys in Berlin, where all of them live right now. And instantly recognized they are driven by the same motivation:going one step ahead, exploring new territories.
 
So, here is the first outcome of this promising collaboration: the two Me And My Drummer - remixes. Track one ist the soundtrack for dancing out of the dark into a new morning. Track two a magic listening track concentrates much deeper on the dark and atmospheric side of „Don’t Be So Hot“. Dreamy and gloomy, both remixes create a special kind of mystic atmosphere, refined by the airy, remarkable voice of Me And My Drummer’s Charlotte Brandi, that perfectly accompanies the haunting melodies, just tocreate intensive, yet touching tracks with a soulful dance vibe and little pieces of a post-rock attitude
 
The Tale of Us & The/Das Remix of Me And My Drummer’s „Don’t Be So Hot“ will be released via Sinnbus on 3rd December 2012.

trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the track?

pølaroit: After a late session in our studio Jonas decided to play some chords on our piano. We just felt comfortable with it and started to record everything on a tape deck. Even though we were quite done this day we came into a flow - that’s the reason why we called the track "Moving Forward". (...)
