He is the person that introduced me to the Philly area and watched me bud from there. He blessed my song with his Sax sometime ago and I’m so happy to share it with the world. “Thinking About You” is a song directed to the ladies and what better way to finish the song off with a Funk/Jazz solo. Just a little side note my father has played with “Kindred Family Soul” “Dice Raw and Scratch of “The Roots” and has even played on a song of two for Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion) one of which, “Ready 2 Ryde featuring Eve. A track Produced by Scott Storch. He even played on the first Rap EP on the West Coast, a group call “Dark Star”. I just found that out on wiki! lol anyway, Enjoy!

Thinking About You (Rework feat. Radji Mateen, Sr.)

This one's been a long time in the making.  It started in late 2017 after playing a good portion of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.  There were a few tracks (Tarrey Town in particular) that I just HAD to sample.  The experience of that game moved me to mine the entire soundtrack (and sound effects) for inspiration. Before I knew it I had and albums worth of beats I really loved.  I sat on em for a while, knew they needed refined and was thinking I would do my usual remix thing with em and put other artists vocals over top.  But as I began refining the beats, something about them overwhelmed me with the desire to write and perform again...and so a very long process began.

From around 2019 - 2023 I wrote, recorded, re-wrote, re-recorded, edited, scrapped, produced, mixed, mastered, and tried to make every one of the songs mean something to me and sound like something I was proud of.  The vibe all started to come together when I decided to lift some Robin Williams quotes to introduce and close out the album.  Robin and I were born on the same day, and he was a noted Zelda fan after all.  When I stumbled across his lines from "August Rush" in my search, I knew it was a perfect fit.  Then I decided it needed some vinyl scratch style vocal stabs to really round out the some of the songs.   I taught myself how to emulate sound that with my synth and scoured the ENTIRE original Zelda 90's cartoon for some great clips, and I certainly found them.

I could've called it good, and released this album over a year ago, but it wasn't good enough for me.  I started studying mixing and mastering theory and practice so I could create something that sounded more professional and aurally cohesive.  The final product is much better for the patience and effort I gave to it.

So now comes the hardest part.  Setting it free into the universe. Letting go of it and moving on to the next.  I wish I could hold onto it forever, but it won't grow that way, and neither will I.  Can't wait to see what I come up with next.

EPILOGUE'S PRECIPICE

Well I think if I ever met #kanye, I would approach him like this. I had to take a break from working on my music and work on a remix that I would like to title #roundkanye - a play on #roundmidnight because it just gives me that somber feeling. #theloniousmonk is a great inspiration sonically so I forged this texture in a self-perceived auditory mood. I also wanted to pair that with a sort of interrogation-style imagery that I feel represents the lyrics, like some sort of confessional.
