Sebastiano De Salvo, born in 1998, graduated with honors in Piano under Fabio Consoli and in Composition under Cosimo Colazzo at the Conservatory of Trento. Since 2016, he has studied orchestral conducting with Giancarlo Guarino, attending masterclasses with Isaac Karabtchevsk, Lior Shambadal, Vittorio Parisi, Julien Salemkour, and Sandro Gorli (Divertimento Ensemble). Currently, he is pursuing Master’s degrees in Composition with Arnulf Herrmann and Conducting with Manuel Nawri at the Hochschule für Musik Saar, Germany, while also completing a Master’s in Musicology at the Free University of Bolzano.

Artistic Career:
In 2017, he began collaborating with the Euroregional Alpenclassica Orchestra, performing across Italy and Austria alongside internationally renowned soloists such as Yuri Revich, Giuseppe Andaloro, and Aron Chiesa. He participated in three editions of the Euregio Saxophone Festival, accompanying world-class saxophonists like Vincent David, Nikita Zimin, Arno Bornkamp, and Federico Mondelci.

Since 2018, he has served as the principal conductor of the Euthaleia Orchestra, directing notable performances such as Mozart’s Requiem at Teatro Bibiena in Mantua and participating in festivals like the Regional Sacred Music Festival and the Organ Festival of Schio. In November 2022, he conducted the Settenovecento Philharmonic Orchestra in Frammenti, a production supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture that toured eight major Northern Italian cities in 2023.

In December 2023, he conducted Mozart’s Solemn Vespers for the Confessor with the Camerata Musicale “Città di Arco.” For musical theater, he debuted I Vestiti Nuovi dell’Imperatore by Paolo Orlandi and directed Kurt Weill’s The Threepenny Opera at the Settenovecento Festival. He has premiered works by composers such as Hovik Sardaryan, Suyeon Lee, Umberto Bombardelli, and Ziling Su, and has conducted performances at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe for the composition classes of Wolfgang Rihm and Markus Hechtle.

As a composer, his works have been performed by ensembles like MP Saxophone Quartet, Agorart Ensemble, and Zafraan Ensemble, earning accolades in international competitions such as "Il Suono delle Alpi" (special prize), Euregio Klassica (third prize, piano category), and "Don Vincenzo Vitti" (first prize). In April 2023, he won a special prize at the Giancarlo Facchinetti International Conducting Competition as the youngest semifinalist.

In summer 2024, he conducted the newly formed M.A.M Orchestra (Music, Art, and Memory) in Florence, featuring premieres by Germano Mazzocchetti and Stanislav Rosenberg. With the Euroregional Alpenclassica Orchestra, he participated in the European Saxophone Congress (Italian debut) and later performed Schumann’s Cello Concerto with Enrico Bronzi. In July 2024, his composition Resina Seconda was performed in Erfurt by the German National Youth Mandolin Orchestra. On November 21, 2024, he conducted the world premiere of Antigone, a chamber opera by Korean composer Sophie Youjung-Lee, at the Wolfgang Rihm Forum in Karlsruhe.
