Where are you, fellow traveler?
My travelling heart calls out to you.


You, me and this dense, dark night are all companions,
And look how the skies rumble for us.

Oh fellow traveler,

If you come as thirst, I will be the monsoon.
This haze will turn into my wedding skirt and I, the bride.

I am a small drop from your ocean of life and when you arrive, I will expand into the whole universe,
And if you don't arrive this time,
then I will become a burden for my own being. 

The breath of my life burns like sandalwood
and calls out to you through its fragrance.
Oh fellow traveler, our hearts are this very country, and this is where we will meet.

Our youth is just like the husk on trees and we will meet before it separates itself from its fruit.

Meeting in person is another story,
We will converge when we meet each other's eyes.

How does one hold himself back?

How does one tread on the wet soil of the his heart without holding your hand?

The shore of love is so far away in the times of pandemic.

And she watches the moon kiss the clouds in her yard as the stars glimmer to rejoice.

Birds still chirp away and the butterflies sip the nectar from fragrant jasmines all the same.

It's only us who have lost our smiles.

Marwari:

I take my votive offerings to shrines, praying to meet you, my beloved.

God-willing that day will arrive soon when my longing will be fulfilled.

You are Ranjha, my sweetheart and I, your Heer.
You are Raano and I, your Moomal.
You are Tamachi, and I your noori.

Sindhi:

Those who are to pass away, will do in the time of pandemic.

And those who overflow with life, will live on. 
This is our only consolation to ourselves.

It's only few precious moments that make it all worth it.

My childhood has so much attached with this Kalaam because of my visits to shrines & listening to many fakirs singing this specially “Sufi Sohrab Fakir” and I fell in love with his voice that still echoes my ears to soul. I often cry emotionally listening to this Kalaam.

We were Jamming last night and all at once This poem came to mind, written & composed by Juman DARBADAR - Once we recorded his interview where He shared his life Story, journey and love for Saeen GM-Syed. He Sang This poem and cried remembering those dreams and days. We just Sang it live & recorded to share our moment and emotion for This poem ♥️♥️
