NIGHT LIGHTS - PHAELEH (WILLOW COVER)

Beginning the song with the Hollywoodwinds I've tried to create the atmosphere of excitement and divinity. When piece starts to build up by violins and gets extremely intense I though is time for huge changes.That's how I name the song Epiphany which means experience of sudden and striking realization.In second part of the song I've used even more instruments than in the first part and really tried to express the feeling of Epiphany or feeling of wisdom and fear.
I've used three parts of 10 stems, percussion-stem, 
the brass stem and the woodwind stem.
All the instruments and arrangements I did on my own.

Infinite Lanes was composed between April and May 2017. The premiere took place on July 29th 2017, at Wellesley College Composers Conference.

Program notes:

Infinite Lanes was written thinking specially in the Composers Conference Ensamble. The name of the work refers to the multiple tempo changes, streams of overlapping speeds, and metric modulations which generate the form.

Dense and pointillist textures, as well as sudden changes, I think somehow are an influence of being living in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, which is a fog forest of ever-changing beauty. There is a wealth of plants and trees and the most refined flowers. One feels that it is impossible to encompass everything he sees.

SWALLOW - Finale - for string quartet

Chris Skipper is an award-winning, internationally renowned British and South African composer, sound designer and music producer. He has scored virtually all genres and for all forms of visual media ranging from feature documentaries to online viral videos and memorable TV commercials.

Recently, Skipper founded SONIC FUTURES (www.sonic-futures.com) - a bespoke sonic branding and podcast company. His music has also appeared on NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, CNN, FOX SPORTS ASIA, BBC RADIO 1, CHANNEL 4 (UK), FREMANTLEMEDIA and PIVOT TV (USA).

Having scored over 100 TV commercials, Skipper has worked with high-end clients including SAMSUNG, DJI, HONDA, YAMAHA, KFC, UNILEVER, NESTLE, TOYOTA and NIVEA just to name a few. 

After receiving his degrees in music from the University of Cambridge and the University of Bristol, Skipper was given the opportunity to work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Manila Philippines and is now based in London, UK. During this journey he has met many passionate musicians and has continued to conduct lectures on classical music, film music production and conducting. His understanding of music production has led to him working as a mastering engineer and music producer for many artists including; THE KANONOS (USA/UK/VIETNAM), SPACE PANTHER (USA/VIETNAM), and WILLOW (UK).  

Skipper is an emerging and exciting talent respected for his ability to create and cultivate music that becomes a key part in articulating characterisation, driving narrative, evoking mood and heightening emotions.
