Ophélie is a France-born, Berlin-based DJ with a strong taste for bass-heavy music in all its forms, weird rhythms, melancholic tunes, multiple layers of sound, and some pop-infused emotional bangers. 

Her monthly Refuge Worldwide residency, Therapy Dog, and event series at Kwia, are her ways to experiment and explore the different genres she’s into, while often sharing the decks with friends and artists she admires. As part of the Open Music Lab, a Berlin-based non-profit collective offering free music and production courses for people from marginalized communities to connect and create together, she's interested in ways to support emerging artists outside the mainstream, in the hope to build a more equitable music scene.

He is a fan of the genre with a keen ear to natural build of a session. Not only is his focus on the track but the vibes he can create when sequencing his selections . We are honored to have @i_wndr on the channel to start off our 2023 season.

Jahbo have been part of Parvati Records since the very start: his first track was released with the collaboration of the project Psilo Cowboys on the very first V/A of the label,“First Step”, in year 2001. And after that he has been releasing with us an incredible number of tracks in Compilations, EP’s and Split Albums such as “Tits On Fire”, “No Strings Attached” and lately with the project AudioFools the Album “Bubbles & Blow”. Morphing soundscapes, wobbling basslines, twisted effects and surrealistic leads are a defined earmark of Jahbo’s Music, Music that tells stories. Now 21 years after his debut release on First Step, we present you in this set his 4 newest productions. This Blacklite episode features OFFLABEL, a psytrance project by Tony Vallini. He started as techno DJ when he was 16 in 1995, then few years later he started as a producer, always taking care to maintain his own style. He found himself drawn into the psytrance world, already with a lot of experience as a Techno artist, DJ and party promoter. In 2018 he joined the well known Blacklite Records family, after changing his style. More complex psychedelic sounds, deeper basslines, acid synths and a vast tempo increase, in line with the new trends of the genre. On stage, OffLabel provides a Live Set together with many atmospheric effects and sounds that are created live and on the spot. It is a very engaging show with a powerful music vibes that audiences love. About this mix titled "Alien Rock", Offlabel says: "This unique mix for radiOzora contains all fresh tracks, most of them unreleased at the moment. It’s the very first preview of many future releases. Dive into my music, Don’t be afraid."

This Merkaba episode features a live set titled "Incantations" by SESEN aka Marilena Samantoura, a widely experienced musician from Athens, Greece. Her journey producing electronic music began in 2005 and she has been creating versatile psychedelic soundscapes that invite either relaxation or gentle movement. Her debut album ‘Juju’ on Merkaba Music, defined as a cognitive expedition to the folklore, bizarre incantations and rituals across the magical lands of the African West Coast, is a wonderful result of these years digging into sound. Expect a deep journey through distinct sonic details with emotional charms, characteristic of this creative Greek artist. This live set contains tracks from SESEN's last album and older tracks as well.

This Looney Moon episode features the showcase of the latest JIMI GREEN "Bust a Move" EP alongside some upcoming new tracks. Jimi Green is the Psytrance project of Jonas Kalkreuth from Germany. Throughout his life music has been a loyal companion either by playing multiple instruments, being surrounded by musicians, or listening as much as possible, always being eager to find new inspiring musical ideas. Once he discovered psychedelic trance, he knew the possibilities of musical expression would be endless. After years of experimentation, trial and error he found his own unique interpretation of psychedelic music. Over the years he released tremendous amounts of tunes with his two-man project Duke & Gonzo. After years of composing music together, he felt it was time to explore the realm of psychedelic music on his own and see what will happen once he got down the rabbit hole. Heavy influenced by all kinds of music this project is driven by funky psychedelic soundscapes, groovy basslines, and hard-hitting drums, creating a unique sonic experience which will definitely get your feet moving!

This week Protect makes his debut here on the channel.

About:
Protect, short for "We Must Protect This House" is a call to action. To protect this house is to protect your inner spirit. As a registered nurse and mental health advocate, Protect is dedicated to a life of service on & off the decks. He is the co-founder of the Saint Peterburg-based dance crew & label SPS Cxllective. The Cxllective is focused on helping elevate the Florida house & dance community. It's important to them that the culture is continually pushed forward so that it may evolve & survive. Although raised in a household of junglists & techno heads, Protect has gravitated towards the world of minimal. He also runs a series called "Minimally Invasive", founded in 2019. This mix submitted for Deep Electronics is meant to showcase the diversity in sounds that Protect brings to the table.

Prometheus

My objective is to share music that has been influential to me through the creative act of conceptual, audio-journaling. 

A deep interest in metamorphosis has evolved into my podcasts. This brings together various styles of sound, while breaking down the walls of genre into pure visionary realms. 

The more inventive projects have a lot going on from intricate layers, to meticulous and extensive original sampling.
