Chilled out ambient dub and experimental acoustic stuff, plus various other genre hopping experiments.

I started creating music on my old PC back in 2002 using DAWs such as Buzz, Fl Studio and Reason. As my artist name suggest I mostly compose tunes that have an ambient edge. My main passion is creating soundscapes, be they soft drifting drones/piano pieces/heavily synth driven, weirdly abstract and classical and orchestral pieces. I mainly compose using apps on my IPad but also make use of whatever instruments I have lying around such as my Pocket Operators, Modal Craftsynth, my favourite is an Early Learning Centre keyboard.

In the past my tracks have been played in BBC Radio Oxford and BBC 6 Music. Over the years I have collaborated with people from all over the world. Please message me if you would like to collaborate 😀

Been Lookin' a self produced artist, working from his own studio, he started his musical career in Boston a guitarist and front man in the underground psychedelic rock band "LSZ". Furthered his journey in NYC playing Drums, percussion, bass, guitar, and singing in other groups such as "Venture Lift" "The Alchemy Unit" "The Plush Crustaceans" to name a few, and has sense moved back to Massachusetts (Western) for a bit of change of pace, and decided to focus on recording and production,  he built a Recording studio "Penumbric Studios"  and runs and Indie Label of the name name, He still plays guitar, bass, keys, drums, percussion and harmonica, he's also doing a lot of the vocals, for his own projects.  He's mixing both live and sampled tracks, and basically trying to stay out of any one style, just really giving in to the creative flow, and just dig the whole process! He feel's when he approaches life this way he is not unlike a, receptive heart beating in unison with the ever present loving tone, OM. He has a large roster of top notch musicians to draw upon for these recording so he tends to hand pick play for each track, freeing himself further from any definite catagory. He is always willing to help, and is open to taking on new musicians and bands, though his work load is quite heavy these days producing for 5 labels including his own. But if you feel your sound is original and strong enough, give him a shout, he just might be willing to take you on! But please plan ahead, with his plate as full as it tends to be, it can sometimes be a little wait before he can fit you in...

I use a lot of very high and very low frequencies, which sometimes will not come through on smaller speakers. I also generally put up .aif files, but if you'd like a copy in .mp3 format, please send a message and I will be happy to provide one for you.

I very much started out playing instruments very late in life, and spent much of my earlier days listening to it, rather than playing it. I am very much a self taught musician and regard my instruments very much like implements, tools or devices to write with, rather than being anything remotely near a good playing musician of any great technique. 

I guess I really got into instruments more back in 1994 when I got into my first band (though I did learn to play the Harmonica when I was 8 years old) it was around this time I wrote a song on the Guitar entitled Oldtime Street. The song is very much even today one that contains some of the finest lyrics I have ever written, and very much perhaps inspired me to carry on.

Though the band back in 1994 was a very short affair, it was not long after I got into a R&B band performing Rock & Blues in various pubs around my own town Birmingham. I was very much the lead singer in this outfit which lasted some 6 years. Though during these years the band had gone through several line up and name changes and came to a stop in 2001. I suppose it was a bit of relief in a sense, because it's quite easy to put a band together, but murder to keep everyone happy, and keep it going.

Even though I only really did Vocals and played my Harmonica in the band, I still found time now and then, for my guitar, and my keyboards at home, and I also contributed in a big way to our own compositions in the band.

Après avoir passé de longues années à écouter et regarder les autres créer de la musique, je commence à créer ma musique avec un logiciel qui ne permet pas de retoucher les bandes sons et de masteriser mais génère des images fractales aussi les tracks que je crée ne sont évidemment pas parfaites, toutefois je vous souhaite une bonne écoute et j'attends vos commentaires et conseils.
